Friendship/729 RITC729 W-1
Defensive blade with head slightly larger than average.
I tried it with DF1615 long pips (0,8 sponge) and Friendship 729 inverted.
On low power/passive strokes I had good control. Spin was fairly good. Speed very low (but then again, this is the first defensive blade I try). With more power to my strokes, i had less control. Opening loops were fairly OK, but counterlooping and kill shots were hard to control. Also mid distance lobs and "fishing" was OK, while mid/long range chopping was not so good. Plenty of spin, but the precision suffered. Not the blade for me.
Some flex, lots of vibration, gets good spin from not so spinny rubbers, not easy to get hard shots. Perhaps OK for the "classical defender". Probably a good choice for a patient pusher/blocker who stays at the table and gets points from spin/placement, awaiting errors from the opponent.
