This is a dream blade. Excellent craftsmanship--you can easily distinguish the difference between a blade Kevin made and one bought from better known commercial companies. Kevin's work is detailed and beautiful. And the best thing is that he caters his products around the players needs and requirements.
This blade plays very similar to the super expensive Darker Speed 90. The differences may be on how Kevin has customized the blade for you.
For example, if he thinned out the blade as much as possible to adjust its weight low (assuming that's what you want), this blade would differ from the Darker 90 in that it would give you some vibrations.
Now, vibrations are not bad. In fact, they are often a good thing. And the way it would feel in your hand would depend on the type of handle you choose.
Kevin would give you options on handles that you would find in no other place. A unique offer form him would be the burl. This would give the player a unique feel of the ball. And if you add the subtle vibrations you may get with his thinner version, you have a perfect blade for control and speed.
If you choose a comparable weight to that of the Darker 90, you may get a very similar blade. The handle, however, would make the difference.
In the end, what Kevin offers is lots of experience in excellent craftsmanship and a personalized product; something we don't have commonly these days.

Terrific blade similar in play to Darker Speed 90. DS90 might be better only in overall balance of the blade.
Almost no flex, absolutely no vibration, many gears, and beautiful touch of Hinoki-like wood.

I really like this blade! It's slightly flexier than my 729 Dynasty Hinoki Carbon and is making me consider switching. It's a great attacking blade of the less flexy variety.
And it's a beautiful 1-ply with perfectly lined up grains which makes it a great piece of art too.
