Cypress Max has a wonderful soft feeling with fast smashes/hits/loops. I've compared it to KTS, RSM Plat, RSM Plat special, CM probably is the only one (imo) that gave me excellent speed with tons of control. While it is quite expensive ($300 USD, only sold in Asia), CM does everything a top blade should do + lost more!!! I've used YinHe M2 ($6 USD) just to test, it is a "Speed Monster", but I personally would use something like Sriver G3 (why pay $80 USD for Ts). Those who played with Cypress S, Rorin, Cho super Cho should give this blade a try. You will truely be amazed by the nice feeling of this blade, which it tends to unfold hidden treasures as you play more and more. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all! tsanyc

The blade is overall very good, with real soft feeling for a fast blade. However, for the price, I would expect a better Hinoki graining. The hinoki lines are not very clear, neither very dense, having also spacing variations. This may be the reason for occasional variations in the feeling (not in the response). Beutiful construction with very high quality.
