Senkoh-1, not to be confused with Uno de Mayo. Japanese Cypress penhold blades are for all-round/offensive players who drive from short and mid-distances. 21-layer handle. Squared head. Black backside.

Fantastic blade, great Butterfly quality as one would expect. It’s the first jpen I’ve owned, and played with it for 3 yrs. Pairs well with Sriver EL and H3N, most enjoyable using H3N without a doubt. The short handle is beautiful and comfortable, fits like a glove, and catches the eyes of occasional admirers. Fun to use, try it :)

Overall I would rate this blade's speed and control around 8 - 8.5/10. When you drive, there is a hard feel as well as when you block, but when you loop, (depending on rubber used - I used soft at one time and medium hard another time) there's a nice dwell time on the racket that allows you to spin more while on a medium rubber, it is slightly faster yet controllable. This is no doubt a looper's racket, but one which can play the all-round game as well.

Small surface is not suitable for 40mm ball..push, chop, smash at ease but not recommend for loop drive as its handle shorter than other jpen..good for player who play close to the table.
