I really like this blade. Having gone through 20-30 blades in the last 2 years, I don't think I ever had the amount of control I do with my current setup with this blade. I'm not sure of the type of wood it's made of, but it has a nice amount of stiffness for softer rubbers which I found pair perfectly with it. Just outstanding ball control when paired with control oriented medium-soft rubbers. I use it with pips on the backhand and it chops and lobs wonderfully and the short game is outstanding. (Update) Going from Defplay Senso back to this blade, I didn't feel a great loss of control in the short game, but got a large boost in speed, so I upgraded my speed rating on it as I now have gained better control myself, I can attack with a full stroke with confidence.
