This blade isn't like a BTY TB ALC, it basically IS one. It has the exact same composition and plies (koto, ALC, limba, Kiri, limba, ALC, koto). It plays identical because it basically is identical for a quarter of the price. It is also extremely well made. Probably the best sanding job I've seen. It's also sealed nicely, so you don't need to seal it yourself. Basically, if you're thinking about getting the Timo Bill ALC, do yourself (and your wallet) a favor and get this instead. You won't be disappointed.

So, I bought one blade. I have a normal V-14 too. This one is a bit faster and stiffer and it is built with ALC. The feeling is high and good. I will update later. This blade is a must have! UPDATE! This is a PRO version, which means, that the blade should me more direct and aggressive, than the normal V-14. The blade feels definitely stiffer and a bit faster, the tempo is OFF with a fine touch. Goes well with all rubbers. This blade is a very nice looping blade well suited for an all out looper and attacker style. Similar to BF TB/ZJK ALC. UPDATE 2018! So I finally swithched to this blade from the normal V-14. I ordered one blade to my couple and she loves it too. Yes the blade is around 92 grams. But there is a big thing! After a few trainings my backhand improved because of the different balance of the blade. The blade is around 180-190 grams with most modern tensors considering the really heavy ones. Mine is 183 with 2 Palio AK 47 REDs. So I came to realize that this blade's weight distribution is very good, the middle point of the blade is 1.5-2 cms (0.6-0.8 inches) above the handle. This makes me able to switch my wings very fast. After 4 sessions I was able to succesfully loop 6-10 random loops in a match situation. With the normal V-14 (I tried 3 blades, with the same rubbers) I was slower because the weight point of the V-14 is higher (so it is a bit more head heavy). I also performed a non-intentional crash test, no big deal, but it is stiffer, than the V-14. Last time I did the puch serve I separated the top veener from the V-14, the V-14 PRO only got a little dent.

This brick is good for blocking. I cannot say if it's similar to TB ALC, but it is nothing close to Viscaria, which is supposed to be very similar to TB ALC. You get what you paid for, and I paid $40.

I had just installed DHS Hurricane 3 rubber to FH and BH. The blade quality is excellence . Perfect edge especially wings some sanding. The hitting sound is sharp and crisp: sharp sound. I just love it’s weight and balance . Much better then DHS PG7 in my opinion. I have not test it on table yet . So far initial glue and bounce gives good feel and serve feels awesome . Spin generated is good. I am club level player with many blades Stiga clipper , DHS PG7 ,Andro Timber 7 .Package comes in with serial number laser in board and also bar code on package wrap . All proves it’s authencity and genuine product. I order from Tenryu Malaysia online for Malaysian Ringgit 185 . It’s worth it for a 5+ 2ALC blade 7 ply . After spent 8 hours on it , its a good feel, the side loop is impressive. I can do the previous shots previously unable to. I need to adjust my strokes as its my first ALC blade. Used to all 7 ply wood blade. Touch play is also playable - control is good. The smash is incredible powerful and speed. It now hits my opponent body at a faster speed. Worth every penny for its performance. This Yinhe v14 pro is a limited edition for their 30 year company anniversary.

I bought a V14 Pro with high expectations, and to my surprise all of them were positively fulfilled. I paired it with Tenergy 05 Hard and Rakza 7 (BH). I will make some comparisons with BTY Timo Boll Spirit, which was the ALC blade I played more over the years. Let´s put it in parts… ● Response on impact – Very responsible, I can feel the fibers doing their job, giving speed and control, without any vibration. A bit faster than TBS due to thickness (6.0 mm of V14P against 5.7 mm of TBS). To my taste, nicer touch than TBS, which has more vibration. ● Construction – Same wood layers of TBS: koto, ALC, limba and a (thicker) core of kiri. Very precise measurements with 157 x 150 head size and a 100 length handle. Mine came with 87g. ● Craftsmanship – Top of the line, second to none. I could not find a single splinter in the handle or in the edges. ● Price – I could not find a better offer. This is a real budget, it can be found at $35 to $40, while a Timo Boll ALC (replacement of TBS) costs at least 4x more (around $160). To my eyes, TBS (or TB ALC) would have to be 4x times better than V14P to make me buy another one. But of course it´s not. Actually, to my game, V14P showed a better option than TBS. I recommend this blade to those two-winged loopers, and considering all its features and price, I can not think of a better one.
