This an amazing blade. I was returning to playing table tennis after 19 years. I dug out my old bat but removing my old rubbers from the blade ruined the blade so I had to get a new one. I tried many bats at a nearby club to see what I liked and didn't including many very high priced composite blades. I called paddlepalace and asked them what they recommended based on what I liked and had used 18 years ago. They recommended this blade.

I have an attacking style. I use a lot of topspin and placement as opposed to speed. I can generate speed when necessary but I don't like to because I find it lowers my consistency. I have a pretty decent block as well and generally stay close to the table. I'm don't have a USATT rating but I am about even when I play games with a 1900 USATT rated player who I play regularly with at the club nearby.

I like this blade better than any other blade I've tried. It gives you the benefits of a composite blade but it still gives you the feel wood blades give you. The control is excellent. It's really well balanced. It's faster than other All+ rated blades I've tried. I'd rate it Off- or Off but with a lot more control than you get with some Off blades. The only downside for me is that I find the straight handle a bit too thin but then I have that problem with most blades because I have big hands.

I'm currently using it with Yasaka Pryde because I hadn't played for a long time and wanted to get something versatile with a lot of control. A friend of mine got the same blade with Tenergy 05 on both sides. That bat is amazing as well. I've been playing every day and once I get my consistency back in a couple of months I may get Tenergy or one of the Xiom rubbers on this blade as well.

Very highly recommended. I tried over 50 bats over the past month including all the usual high priced stuff and I didn't like anything close to as much as I like this blade.

This blade is rated in the ALL+ range however it plays like OFF-to OFF. Superb balance and feel for a composite blade. Huge sweet spot due to carbon and Kevlar layers. Fast with Tensors or medium-fast allround with slower rubbers. Used by X3 times champion Jimmy Butler. An ok blade from Juic not great. Update, seal blade when new as the outer ply splinters very easily when changing rubbers. I used 2 coats of sealer on this one. After extended use I found flaws in workmanship like gap developing on underside if handle. Changing my mind on this blade. It plays fine but build quality is not on par with Butterfly and Donic. Made in China.

A good blade, easy to play with, and useful for a variety of playing styles and levels. Handle (mine is flared) is too thin--I had to wrap it with tape.

The Alpha is a good, versatile blade that feels great in the hand. It does require some minor sand paper work around the flared handle. The blade works well with medium soft inverted rubbers, as well as with short pips like Spectol. When ordering, it may help to ask for a specific weight range - I did not, and my first Alpha weighed 84 grams, the second ... a disappointing 95.
