The Maplewood NCT VII is a wooden version of 7 sheets with an inherent potential offense that is well suited to the technical players. Maplewood NCT VII is hard but softer than Rosewood and Ebenholz. Unique, hand selected sheeting, it is very balanced. Approx Weight: 90 gr

I don't agree with the previous reviews or ratings. My ratings: Speed 8.4, Control 9.1. Tried with Yasaka New Era on FH and Nittaku Fastarc on BH. Amazing feeling with just a bit of vibration. The dwell time is high since the top ply feels soft. The blade is not flexible. It is thick and a bit heavy but not head heavy, well balanced. I wasn't afraid to put power on my strokes. The thickness allows you to put a lot of power/speed if you want to. It plays better with medium hard rubbers. Amazing in the short game. It's a shame Stiga decided to discontinue this blade. Otherwise I would dump my Timo Boll Spirit for this one. Maplewood is similar to OSP's Virtuoso OFF-. P.s the conical, almost straight handle named "Champ" is the best handle I have tried.
