A very responsive and lively all-round plus blade with added extra power on demand. This 5.5 version is a very popular choice for many allround players who require that little something extra.

THE TSP BALSA FIBRE GLASS SYSTEM EXPLAINED

A unique structure developed by TSP. The heart of the blade is the central core produced from Balsa cross cut wood using vertically lined wood fibres with outer horizontal plys incorporating fibre glass. The vertical core acts like a series of mini springs and combined with the fibre glass creates an extremely precise and uniform bounce without vibration.

The large deformation of the surface results in a massive sweet spot which in turn gives excellent feeling and control when compared to the dynamic speed of the blade. The lightness of the blade is appreciated by many players.

Each blade features a different millimetre increase in the thinckness of the Balsa core.

All at a very light weight ranging from 70g - 85g. TSPs best selling blades for many years.

Received TSP Balsa 5.5 as a christmas gift and put some older rubbers on it. Andro Rasanter R42 2.0 red FH, Donic Baracuda Black BH. Yesterday I had my first matches and this combination worked very well. I was able to play slow with a lot of control and I could also play fast. So there was a feeling that I had very much control of pace. Ball placement could be done with great precision. There is less spin than in my Andro Temper Tech all+ but this could depend on the little bit worn-out rubber I used. Anyway, topspin worked well with this blade. Only downside of the blade are the sharp edges and I'm not sure if I should sand it because of the glass fiber inside and I because read balsa could break easily.

I bought this blade in order to improve my control, previously I used an offensive balsa blade. Combined with blue storm z3 rubbers it has improved my game enormously this year

Very interesting blade, i used for half season, FL handle has good feel in hand but AN is better, short serve, easy block, spin, good chops = very good blade !!! i used rakza 7 both side (BH 2.0 and FH max) very good feel the ball, very good control, easy block

The fiberglass plies produce extra speed on flat and drive shots. Beautiful finish and very comfortable grip. Mine has 70g and isn't top heavy with soft rubber. Nice blade for modern allround style.
