563-1 medium-pip is the best off speed blocking rubber, but it can also hit very well. Balls hit with 563-1 have some sink and some deception. Friendship/729 563-1
I am using 563-1 on the FH. Previously played with short pips on the FH like TSP SpinPips (Blue & Red), Spinlord Degu (1 & 2). They are all good rubbers but my personal feeling is that 563-1 gives more control and stability although you cannot produce the same amount of spin as with the above mentioned SP rubbers. It has low throw but at the same time the pips are horizontally aligned which allows to produce some spin. I can do very controlled drive shots and flat hits with 563-1. It's not a very deceptive rubber I'd say, but what confuses opponents sometimes is that it's hard to guess the strength of spin produced which may cause mistakes and/or gives me chances to attack. I've tried it with 1.5mm and 1.8mm sponge - haven't noticed much difference. Overall it's a good rubber for a good price.

For its medium pips the 563-1 provides quite a significant deception especially in case of attack and pip blocks. It is not that easy to play if you are in the half distance and do not just want to play a slize.

This is the choice for ocasionaly agressive alround player with mixed rubbers. Perfect control and balance for all kind of shoots (passive and active).Troublesome for oponents due to high deception and reversal effects. Also easy to play against grass (long pimple) players according to huge attacking possibilities.
Best with 2,0 mm thickness sponge.
