A perfect and affordable short pip rubber. No disadvantage if you are moving from inverted rubber. You will find it more consistent and will be able to handle upcoming spin from loopy and spinny players. Less insensitive to spin and due to short pimple and fast rubber you will be able to keep the ball low and get in others court if you were struggling with inverted rubber. I use it on my forehand and slightly slower if you are using a 9.2=94 speed rubber but your forehand hit will do the job consistently and effective if you hit the ball.

I'm penholder. Use H3 Neo, Skyline TG3 Neo, T05FX, T05, ELS, Fastarc G1. A few month ago I try antispin scandal & long pips dawei 388D1 but not suite my style. I try my friend rubber 802-40 and feel good. With add a few dollar, I try 802-40 Mystery III (not normal 802-40) and I can feel this rubber have a lot of potential. No issue if user with normal pip in want to try this rubber, easy to use. This rubber cost USD 10 only at my country and worth to try. It still grip and still have a spin for loop. for me, this rubber very good for push, chop, hit, drive, place, counter attack soft active block. Have a spiny serve. I feel it more consistent than I use a tensor rubber. More consistent, less error, more control. I use 2.2mm thickness. You can play like the normal pip in rubber with advantage of short pip rubber. The rule to use this rubber, you cannot fight opponent with your strong loop because the topspin is not quite strong. You need to control the placement and height of your ball. Big problem for your your opponent if your keep your ball low, ether short, medium or long at the opponent table, because of sink effect and less spin. But, if your ball heigh, you opponent will love to attack your ball because of lack of spin. Remember, to use this rubber, always keep your ball low and your opponent will hate you more.

It's a fantastic sponge! I've been dreaming about it. I love its quality, the rebound on well-executed serves, the control, and the attacks on topspins. Switching from inverted rubber to short pips saved my shoulder (I couldn't sleep after playing). You have to play close to the table, but this allows you to work on your ball touch. And the best part is that by playing with it regularly, you improve your ball touch on the forehand.

I wanted to shift from inverted rubber on my BH to short pips. Basic purpose was to find a rubber which can help me to negotiate service receives on my BH and also gives some deceptive rotation for surprising the opposition. I am strong FH player and generally try to open up quickly by my FH. This rubber works fine, as it has very good control as well as good speed where you can play from mid distance. Blocking is very good and you can create surprise slower or very quick active blocks. Service receive is also good and can directly start countering the side spin services if you can anticipate the spin and bounce of incoming serve. I tried some open up for backspin balls, and if we can connect the ball early, it can generate descent spin as well. As the spin is not much and also bounce is low, it is very good stroke to deceive opposition. Overall good rubber, if you are looking for a short pips which has descent speed and control.

Using this on YEO blade. I’m a Penholder also. It is my first real long-time approach to short pips after the 729-802. Green sponge on this 40degree version. Playing characteristics are very nice. Can create good spin, can flat smash when opponent makes mistake, can do side swipes and chop blocks to a certain degree. It’s not too far off from characteristics of an inverted rubber. I usually play with Provincial Skyline 3 BS on FH. I’m still able to use the same playing motions. Not much adjustment required. Great rubber for transitioning. Lots of good technique required I believe to utilise this rubber. I encourage all to try it.
