Table tennis with all its facets is continously moving forward. Keeping pace with this development is a huge challenge, expecially for defenders. Their demand on their own athleticism as well as the playing material grew immensely over the past few years. andro® RASANT CHAOS has been developed to meet their expectations while especially one characteristic: variability. andro® RASANT CHAOS - long pimple out rubber developed for a variable, wicked defense Depending on the technique used suitable for blocking close to the table as well as for classic and modern defense from the distance Direction and shape of the long, narrow pimples secure excellent control while the pimple surface builds a perfect base for extreme backspin RASANT sponge technology with built-in TENSOR-effect provides further quality to offensive strokes
This rubber is long pimple but not for defense. It's very hard to block heavy top spin, even using soft blade. The sponge is very bouncing and fast. What you have to do is to attack first at third ball by pushing hard, before your opponent attack you. You have to make it fast. This rubber is very uncomfortable because you will find it difficult. I better use ox rubber than this rubber. Not worth with the price.
I'm reviewing the 0,3-0,5mm version of this rubber.
Beware this is not a slow rubber, probably due to the tensor sponge (rasant).
After playtesting many rubbers such as TSP P1r, DHS Cloud & Fog 3, Donic Alligator, Palio CK531A, Dr. Neubauer Viper and Boomerang, among many others, this is my long pips of choice. It's fast enough to hit through dead balls and even light topspin balls at short/mid-distances, and spinny enough to produce some effect when brushing.
The 0,3-0,5mm sponge gives me the best of both worlds. Chops produce either a lot of backspin or highly deceptive balls. Pushes and blocks close to the table are very dangerous with lots of reversal. Expect to win many easy pimple points with this rubber.
I believe this rubber will better suit modern defenders and allrounders.
