I'm reviewing the 48 deg, lavender sponge for the Attack 8 M-type pips, which look like long pips. I play an all-around, modern defensive game.
Even though I'm using the 1.8m sponge, I can chop well with these. They have great control for chopping. Reversal is modest but very confusing for opponent. You can add your own spin, quite a bit actually, or not.
These also work well close to the table for an attacking game. Blocking is also easy and quite good. Blocks may have reversal or you can be active and generate a topspin counter block.
The Attack L-type have larger diameter pips and look similar to other med pimple rubbers, like 563.
This is suitable for somebody who wants to disturb his opponent while also having the ability to consistently attack or step away from the table to chop.
Get the L-type, if you want to play only attacking close to the table.

This rubber is definitely made for attacking. It is especially good at attacking underspin, but blocking is also great with this rubber. It will definitely cause problems for loopers as the blocked ball has tends to sink causing returns to go into the net. Very good rubber if you can find it. Only place I know you can buy it is iruiru.com

For Fast Attack Close to the Table. As its pimples are slightly higher than an ordinary pimpled rubber sheet, it is very easy to creat a loop ball and hit a chop ball.

Good quality rubber for close to table attacking,as used by Ali Fukara, but she has special sponge on it.You must take the ball very early.
