Rough surface on the back of a very thin base sheet, pimple size and height are the largest and highest allowed by ITTF rules. And also new materials are used in this rubber. As a result, the rubber produces very strange effects and lasts significantly longer.
These pips fly under the radar, but they are an excellent alternative for passive pips blocking with the ABS ball. The spin reversal as good as any I've seen in the ABS-ball era, and the balls stays low. It's also good for chop-blocking or mid-distance chopping. The rubber dampens the pace very well with passive contact but becomes decently speedy when you're playing actively or attacking. It's not spin-sensitive, which is good, but the lack of grip also means that when you're attacking, you should try to hit more than grazing. Also, the soft, widely spaced and long pips create lots of funky effects.
Only had this a few weeks but really impressed durability seems good as I’ve been hitting with it a fair bit which I have found fairly easy to do with this lp which I have in ox.
Really good for chopping away from and close to table, reversal and deception top notch
I bought this as a back up for my Neptune which I never thought I would be changing but think I will be sticking with the Monster 77 now for the really cheap price this is a truly great lp in my opinion.Update)
Having now used this LP for as good while now I would like to add that this is definitely in my opinion the best LP I have ever had excels in just about everything chops, blocks, punches, side scoops, and with the right technique also excellent for hitting and I have it in ox.
Also the nasty effect it has is brilliant my regular practice partner tells me that some of my returns are like a mosquito fizzing across a pond. And to think Ipaid less than a quarter of the price for this than I would for some high end brands.
This is an excellent long pimples rubber for blocking near the table. It's less spin sensitive so deception is average. In comparison to spinlord blitzschlag same speed, monster 77 is easier to play. The 77 gives you so much control that makes your placement easy. All in all this is a recommendable allround LP.
