The new and improved Palio Legend 2 is the perfect bat for players that are looking to generate maximum power from their strokes. It's a slightly heavier bat that will put huge amounts of speed and spin into your shots. It is recommended to advanced players that already have good feeling and control and are looking for a bat to make the most of their natural strengths. The ITTF approved Palio Hadou rubbers have a harder sponge, which is characteristic of high-level Chinese rubbers and suits an all-out attack style. The harder sponge makes it possible to generate huge amounts of spin and speed but does decrease the amount of control. The all wood Palio x ETT Legend 2 blade has been completely redesigned to improve quality and feeling. It features a flared handled that is very comfortable to hold and it works extremely well with the Hadou rubbers. It is made of a harder wood, again to maximise power, which turns the Palio Legend into a super fast combination. A free Palio bat case is also included to help you protect the bat and keep the rubbers clean.
Good bat. Reccomended for experienced players as it is not easy to control. It is extremely quick, good spin and with an excellent throw angle. A few experienced players at my club have mentioned how good it is. It has thick rubbers and a bit too heavy for my personal preference.
This was my second real racket, and I would say it is at the higher end of the premade rackets and ideal for the intermediate player looking to progress their game further.
Starting with spin, (as this is what my game is based around) the amount of spin that you can generate with this racket is staggering, that is, if you have the correct technique. It is different from the European rubbers in that in order to generate a good amount of spin, you must have the adequate technique to hit the ball very thinly, but when you execute this, serves or loops with spin are often outright winners. Loops and countertopsins is where this bat excels (at least for my style of play) simply because of the amount of spin you can get.
This is a very fast bat for the people it is aimed at, it is likely that you will find the racket too fast and uncontrollable at first, but this is good in a way as after playing with this bat for a year, I have found that after learning to control this racket, any other racket I try now is easy to control in comparison.
All shots are possible to execute, but loops topspins and flicks are all most natural, the racket is quite spin sensitive and is, therefore, a little more unforgiving when chopping the ball, but learning the touch and control, you can relatively easily add the chop to your arsenal of shots. Once you master the touch of the ball with this racket, push and touch shots in close table play become intuitive and very useful.
The final thing I have to say about this racket is that blocks are very natural and almost automatic, once you learn the control, just angle your bat correctly and you can hit surprisingly offensive block shots, moving your opponents all over the table and often hitting winners with block due to the speed of the rubber.
