T05
Another superb rubber from Adidas.
Tried the rubber in 2.0 on the FH of my XH Zxi blade water base glued and I cannot be happier with it.
Moderate but more than enough speed and unbelievable grip. I'd say it is at the same level of speed and grip as Xiom OVT. The medium hard rubber is NOT bouncy at all so you can keep your pushes short and low just above the net.
During serving and looping it is spinner than most of the latest top rubbers. I dare to say it is quite close to T05.
It is not as bouncy as the T05 so you can cause troubles for your opponents by handling their serves and attacks and it is less sensitive to incoming spins.
Pushing is also rated as excellent with TZU as it keeps balls low and full of spin. Looping department is full of enjoyment especially close to the table perhaps it loses its strength during far-from-table counter drives and hits. TZU draws a nice medium high arc in the air with a sudden dip-off on the other side in case of correct and quick wristle movement. Side-spins are simply leathal but it might be true for all the latest top gums as well. Lifting heavy backspins is a child's play with TZU. Of course I hit the net several times against more qualified players but it happens much less than earlier :D
It is precision that I really appreciate most about TZU I have never felt being more accurate during my play.
On the backhand I did not like TZU but it is only due to my poor skill and technique. For me M3 and P7 are the all time favourites on BH.
Update: Two months have passed and I am absolutely satisfied with TZU on FH. Precision, power, spin and control of heaven.
Changed thickness to 1.8 though because it is fast enough for an old warrior :-) In the end I've dropped M3 on BH as it is too bouncy for me and P7 has been proved to be unbeatable there.
At last I can stop breaking my brain about equipment and get ready for learning some tactics ;-)
