Had GFR on what I would consider my 2nd "beginner" racket, paired with a Mizuno Fortius Ft. This was a great combo and really allowed me to improve strokes using modern equipment. The rubber offers just a slight but noticeable tensor effect, high throw angle decent spin compared to a pre-made tracker that most beginners (basement players) would come from. Also - it's so light. Really soft sponge and fairly soft rubber. Makes a good sound but easy to bottom out if you're not brushing. Basically it was the perfect intro rubber. I used it playing about 12 hours a week between playing, lesson, and robot practice. After 5 months of using it I was eager to try something faster with more spin. But again, perfect time for someone getting more serious about table tennis as a sport. Highly recommend.
