Comparing this rubber to the regular Palio CJ8000 36-38°, the TensionTech is much faster out of the box. After breaking in the regular the TensionTech is only slightly faster (the regular is insanely slow out of the box and must be broken in). The TensionTech does have a slight click to it when hitting the ball, and my subjective feel is that I like it better for looping. The TensionTech is a couple of grams lighter than the regular (lavender sponge), 40g vs 42g (cut). I do feel the TensionTech is worth the extra $2 on AliExpress for offensive play. Unfortunately TensionTech only comes in 2.2 with the 36-38 degree sponge. For defensive play the regular would be preferred since it comes in a variety of thickness and hardness options. Either way you can't beat the price/quality of this rubber, it's the best <$10 rubber that I have found.
