Review of Butterfly Petr KorbelGreat blade even by modern standards. This is the blade I've started with 10 years ago and just purchased another one a couple of months ago. Amazing control and limbs plies provide really good dwell time and spin. This is also one of the fastest if not the fastest 5 ply all wood blade I've tried (mine is European, apparently Japanese version is even faster). I play with DHS Gold arc 8 H50 on both sides and I think these are a great match for this blade. This doesn't replace my 2 main blades (DHS Long 5 and Stuor Nobilis) but when I don't play tournaments/competitions or play in tight spaces this is my go to blade. Only complaint is that it vibrates a bit too much for my liking - could be enough to throw you off sometimes so it's not the most direct of blades. Still for the price definitely give it a try. It plays well with Chinese rubbers too but I'd stick to ESN/Butterfly tensors like Gold Arc 8 or tenergy 05. A friend of mine has this blade with Rozena and he's also able to be competitive with such relatively inexpensive setup. Blocks and flat shots are good but to be really competitive you need to loop a lot and be active. As a bonus when I was testing 5 blades with my coach he said my shots with this blade had overall second best spin (second to Long 5 with H3 National blue sponge H41), better than Viscaria with D09C - this rubber alone costs almost as much as entire setup of Korbel + 2x GA8!

Review of DHS Hurricane Long 5Great blade - previously my 2 main blades were Stuor Nobilis ZLC Hinoki and DHS B2X. This is a replacement for the B2X - same structure, just better in pretty much every aspect. It's more flexible than the B2X yet has more speed and slightly higher throw. It also feels much more direct with less vibration and has more control than the B2X. Just for some background I initially bought the B2X as a replacement for Viscaria that I felt was too hard to control for me and even though the B2X is a better controlled blade it lacked a bit of speed compared to Viscaria which I could live with but I had issues with my backhand which I initially thought was due to my less than ideal technique (Def part of the reason) but I realised that it was more to do with the handle which was a bit too narrow at the top for me. So I got the Long 5 with ST handle and that solved the issue for me and my backhand got significantly better now. Away from the table though the Stuor which is at least 4 times cheaper by the way still produces a better quality and faster ball, however for mid and close to the table game it's too fast for me. Overall after testing 10+ blades this one provides the best balance for me. Currently I play with Hurricane 3 National H41 forehand and DNA Platinum H backhand.
Edit: tried H3 neo H37 on BH - it works much better with this blade. In general suits low throw rubbers much better

Review of Loki Violent V9 Ebony CarbonUpdated review after some more time with the blade: Great blade for the price, very linear and although fast it's quite direct and manageable to control. Feels a bit woody so if you're switching to a carbon blade you might like it. One thing I've noticed is that the blade has enough vibration feedback and overall feel with Chinese rubbers but lack a bit of feel with euro tensors. This is an issue because overall (like with other not so flexible blades) this plays better with euro tensors. In that sense it's similar to other Chinese blades at this price point like Yinhe Pro-01 just a bit more flexible. As such I can only recommend this blade to intermediate players who have a bit of a flatter playing style. If you're a beginner this will be too fast for you and you are likely to develop bad habits. If you're an advanced level player I feel like there are better blades for you even in this price bracket - eg some Stuor blades. Lastly - I would like to highlight the handle of this blade - typically Chinese blades don't have the best FL handles, they are either too thin or too thick, this one definitely stands out and I had absolutely no issues using it

Review of Sanwei 75 ALCI enjoyed playing with this blade overall - this is easily the fastest blade I've ever tested. When playing with less experienced players it's very easy to find a winner and launch what feels like a ballistic missile of a forehand. Unfortunately that also means the blade is too stiff - it has decent spin (I presume because it can compress pretty much any sponge - so definitely need something harder on backhand to be playable), but overall the dwell time is very short so attacking backspin is incredibly hard especially with backhand. For the same reason you need to be very careful with your blocks as they go over the table all the time. The throw angle is low. As to feel there's not much of it. This has no vibrations at all (which is not always a bad thing) but I just couldn't feel the ball that well - its not terrible and still better than premade bats but I would expect better than what it is. This is supposed to be a Viscaria alternative but compared to my Viscaria they are completely different. I generally like Sanwei products and blades (my first blade was a Fextra) but I can't recommend this the 75 to anyone unless all you care about is speed. Overall there are much better alternatives at this price point.

Review of Stuor Hexagonal (Cybershape)Played with this blade for 2 hours - paired with Stiga DNA Pro H on both sides. Like with most Stuor blades it's almost identical to the original Stiga Cybershape Carbon. Very similar feeling - substantial vibrations (but not to the extent where it becomes distracting) and really good feel, almost like an all wood blade resulting in really good control. I would say it has 90% of that classic Stiga feeling just a bit less direct and a bit more vibrations. I must admit I'm a bit disappointed with it's speed. I've had a chance to play with the original Cybershape Carbon with exactly the same rubbers and from what I remember it was noticeably faster. Compared to other inner carbon blades (long 5 commercial and Fang Bo B2X) this is the slowest one. Don't get me wrong - it's still faster than something like a clipper or Korbel but I was just expecting this to be on par with original. I've only tried this blade with DNA Pro rubbers but I probably wouldn't even try any Chinese rubbers since I feel like it's going to be too slow. Overall solid blade if you want to try Cybershape. Admittedly I haven't played long enough to fully make up my mind about this blade but so far I don't think it's for me.

Review of Stuor Blue Carbon HinokiI've played with this blade for 5 hours in total and at the moment this is my favourite blades from Stuor overall. It reminds me of a Butterfly Viscaria and Yinhe Pro 01 child whereby it has the speed and lower throw of Pro 01 and feeling of a Viscaria. Imo this is the perfect balance for this type of blade. Mine came in 5.7 mm thickness and 1420 HZ bounce. The blade is very direct and linear (thanks to the Hinoki top ply I presume) but has flex very similar to that of a Viscaria. It has relatively low throw (again from my understanding that's property of Hinoki wood) but due to flexibility you can get wicked spin with it. The feel is probably what surprised me the most - it has perfect amount of vibration feedback and dwell time so that you can feel the ball really well making both close to table and away from table shots great. It's relatively low weight of 82g makes it very maneuverable. Plays well with both tensors and Chinese rubbers but I felt like it's best suited for tensors. I tested it with Yasaka Rakza XX Max thickness FH and DHS Gold Arc 8 50 Med thickness BH and it was simply amazing. Overall at the moment this is my second favourite blade after DHS Long 5. It's pretty different to Long 5 but it's much easier to play with than Long 5 and much lighter. I would recommend this to intermediate to advanced players and even some beginner who don't mind the speed. For beginners though I feel like slower Stuor CNF would be better suited. Like with all Stuor blades I would definitely go with ST handle because FL is way too narrow at the top. As a bonus I believe the handle is made from cedar so it has very pleasant smell. Definitely a must try.

Review of Yinhe PRO 01Had Viscaria for a very long time but stopped playing for a few years and when I came back I found it quite hard to control and lacking a bit of power in away from the table play. When I improved I found DHS Long 5 to suit me better so sold my Viscaria. A few weeks ago I wanted to get my Viscaria back but saw reviews saying this is the closest blade to Viscaria whilst also being really cheap (I got mine on sale on AliExpress for $30). I must admit the finishing quality is simply amazing for the price. It feels and looks better than my Long 5 - really beautiful blade. In terms of playing characteristics it has some similarities to Viscaria but I wouldn't necessarily call it very close. Viscaria is definitely crisper and has more vibrations feedback - Pro 01 is stiffer and not as flexible. As the result Pro 01 is faster but not as easy to generate spin with. If you feel like Viscaria is too slow and vibrates a bit too much you should definitely consider this blade. I haven't ever tried the Viscaria Golden but have a feeling that would be closer to Pro 01. Mine came at 5.7mm thick and 90g on the dot. Like with many other Chinese blades I didn't really like how it played with tensors but Battle 2 Gold with 2 layers of booster felt like its a match made in heaven. I really like this blade but still kinda want my Viscaria back as it's not the same. The only thing that I dont quite like is the handle - it's far superior to DHS handles but still a bit too thin at the top. Its not terrible so I'm sure it's something I could get used to. Overall highly recommend this blade if you want a stiffer and faster Viscaria that's also a bit easier to control. Still can't wrap my head around how good this blade is given its price. Before I thought Stuor blades were the bang for your buck and can easily compete with blades under $100 from big brands but this one is competitive even with top of the range blades from big brands.
