Friendship/729 Bomb

Review of Friendship/729 BombDec 29, 2014: My second blade and the one I've gone back to. It feels slower than I remember in the short game and warmup but I was using hard carbon blades for too long. Now I can loop away from the table and with good speed. It has good dwell and the flex makes this blade faster at higher speed. Mine weighs 88 g.May 20, 2015: lowered speed 8.8 to 8.6. OFF- I'd say. Loop away from table with decent speed, good spin. Blocking had to adjust from easy-to-block hard carbon blades as this one has a pretty high throw angle from the medium feel and dwell time, especially with vega pro on fh. Used for about 5 and a half months the second time around and it helped me regain my control and up my game. May 20, 2015 |

Review of Friendship/729 Dynasty Super CarbonDec 28, 2014: My first blade several years ago...not recommended for beginners. It was too fast, hard, and stiff. I wish the 729 hinoki carbon hadn't been out of stock.May 19, 2015: lowered speed 9.5 to 9.2 May 19, 2015 |

Galaxy T-10+

Review of Galaxy T-10+Dec 31, 2014: Very fast(from the hard top plies + carbon), very stiff(from the overall thickness + hard top plies + carbon), and light(balsa core). I miss how effortless it feels at low speed but the blade is too hard(it may be a half notch harder than hard) and stiff for me to loop away from the table. The throw is very low due to the low dwell from the hardness and stiffness. Great quality blade just not for the style I want to play. This blade and website taught me a lot recently. Mine weigh 76 g and 67 g.May 21, 2015: lowered speed 9.7 to 9.4. I'm not sure the thin carbon layers contribute much to the stiffness in a blade this thick. It would probably be just as stiff without them, though not quite as fast. May 21, 2015 |

Galaxy T-2

Review of Galaxy T-2Dec 31, 2014: Used this after t-10+, for just a brief time. Quite stiff but just a bit of flex when trying to bend(it may be a half notch stiffer than stiff). The cypress top plies seem to be much harder than Japanese hinoki and look to be similar to t-10+ American cypress top plies but may be a half notch less hard blade overall due to one less other hardwood ply over the carbon ply. Very good quality blade but I'm now looking for one that's a notch lower in hardness and a half to 1.5 notch less stiff. Weight of mine is 81 g.May 22, 2015: lowered speed 9.4 to 9.1. Weight was 81-82 g FL handle. I'd say speed is top of OFF to start of OFF+. "Slow" for people used to faster OFF+ and fast for people looking for a more average OFF or OFF- carbon blade. Maybe similar in speed to t-11+ but with a slightly harder feel. Threw some used vega rubbers on it just to mess around and compare to my latest blades. Still fast but with a bit more spin than with previous used Chinese rubbers. Still not much dwell time. t-1 is the thicker, stiffer, slightly heavier, slightly faster "full-size" version of this.
