DHS Power-G PG9
Review of DHS Power-G PG9I have been using this blade for 3 months and from day one its been great. Very minimal vibrations and extremely fast.Mid- and long-range attacks are very effective with blocks being an instant return. Close to the table chop or slow attacks end up with out-of-bounds due to the high speed of this blade. Fast rally and heavy top-spin loops from mid distance seems a perfect fit for this blade. Not recommended for all-rounders or beginners at all. Almost no dwell time so only speed and rally players need buy this blade. Update: After nearly 7 years of playing with this blade, this is STILL my number one blade :-D I use alternatingly Euro and Chinese rubbers. TG2Neo , Hurricane2 or H3 ( Neo and non-Neo ) , Palio Thors, Yasaka Rising Dragon and Shining Dragon, Rakza7, RakzaX and many more rubbers. This is STILL OFF++ and that rating does not change at all ! This blade is for Intermediate to Advanced Offensive Attackers and Loopers ONLY ! The weight of this blade + rubbers REQUIRES you to have STRONG forearm, wrist, elbow, shoulders !!! YOU WILL GET INJURED IF YOU ARE NOT PHYSICALLY ABLE AND CAPABLE OF SUSTAINED MULTI-HOUR SESSIONS OF PLAY!!! Rubber choices for this blade is Mid-Hard to Hard rubbers only. Rakza7 is just good enough but Rakza7Soft bottoms out too quickly on this blade. If you are a brush-looper and do not drive the ball much or smash much, this is not the right choice. DHS PowerG7 is the more allround loopers choice. Nov 28, 2019

Dr. Neubauer High Tech Cypress Carbon
Review of Dr. Neubauer High Tech Cypress CarbonIt is very obvious that this is a Balsa-Carbon blade. The minimal dwell time with mid-hard and hard rubbers paired with the carbon gives instant kill shots. Mid-soft and soft rubbers bottom-out very quickly. The more you hear the balsa-carbon ping sound indicates how difficult this blade will be for beginners and intermediate players. It is going to take time to learn how to use all the gears this blade brings to the setup for any player. The blade flex does not happen at all no matter how hard you hit. The weakness is the far-away from the table play ( more than 6 to 8 feet / >2metres ) the balsa holds back the carbon layer stiffness.Close and mid-distance play allows for very powerful drives. Requires the player to understand the setup speed difference over-the-table, table-end and one-step away from the table. There is enough speed variations to allow playing early or late a variety of shots. Just do not expect this to be a counter-looping setup. Loop and loop-drive with kill shots mixed in. Power and speed near-table and mid-table distances. I cant say much for modern defense but this might be ideal for that kind of game. Nov 08, 2023

Friendship/729 Bomb
Review of Friendship/729 BombRecently bought this blade. Very flexible and definitely produces variations. Requires medium hard to play decently. Blade quality is acceptable for the price it is a cheap intermediate blade.Ball doesnt bounce more than 2 or 3 times on blade gives dead feeling probably due to cork core. So this might work for modern defenders. With rubbers the ball bounces less with soft touch but skyrockets with even little harder touch. Update: After 4 years of getting is blade on Amazon.in. Can't find this blade for sale very high demand but no supply. Mid-Hard and Super-Soft rubbers work like magic on this blade. Very hard rubbers are "unpredictable" .... You want deception, you want touch play, you want super-spinny surprise loops, extra deep-cut , short drop shot / heavy-cut, but don't expect to smash to the heavens though. I haven't tried Pips-Out rubbers on this yet ... I suspect it will work out great :-D Maybe I will update about more things later on. On/Off I play on a very casual level with this blade but it produces results like anything! Nov 28, 2019

TSP Black Balsa 7.0
Review of TSP Black Balsa 7.03-Ply, Top-plies are Fibre-glass ... core is Balsa wood.Top-ply is Hard, Centre core is Soft. Blade is one of THE LIGHTEST ! Yet you could play an Aggressive or Defensive and get the SAME results !!! Consistency of this blade is EXCELLENT ! Unless you EDGE or hit the handle, there is NO LOSS in POWER ! Everywhere is a GOOD CONTACT! The Blade is FAST ! And if you do try a drop shot, it simply WORKS! Japanese manufacturing, quality really shines with this TSP. A marvellous weapon in any hand. ~~Still ... Soft / Medium rubbers .~~ are probably not suited unless you are going for All-Round or Defense. ~~ I am currently on Xiom Omega V / Tibhar 5Q Sound ... both soft/medium and lightweight rubbers.~~ Xiom Vega Asia and Rakza9 both hard or mid-hard rubbers which is recommended for this hard outer-ply blade. Update: 7 years of using this blade. This is more for loopers or smashers. This blade either produces tons of forward power or drastically drops that power for touch shots. All the way up to 11 or down to 1 or 2 ..... this is the problem with this blade the no middle ground. No or minimal Dwell time ... means if you loop drive the ball suddenly kicks off the rubbers ... but if you start brush looping there isn't any power at all ... TSP BB7 for players who will take VERY good care of their equipment, play deceptive game, can attack and defend with ease and have great extreme good touch. Nov 28, 2019

TSP Versal
Review of TSP VersalTSP Versal, speaks to the Engineering design and precision that is Japanese manufacturing and TSP does another bang up excellent job with this blade. One thing outstanding and astounding about this blade is the superb control and top-notch CONSISTENCY! If you are a beginner or intermediate or advanced player and want to learn precisely and exactly what you are doing wrong in your game mechanics, this blade will be a rock solid selection to test out and experiment on. Your game will improve from learning to play with this blade.Mid-hard rubbers, hard to very hard rubbers, soft to super-soft rubbers, Pips-out, Anti ... you can do ANYTHING with this blade, it has sooooo many gears it will work at. But the caveat with all Balsa blades creeps into this as well, which is in no way a shortcoming but an expected and welcome feature. If you go too far away like 10 to 20 feet away from the table, balsa blades will slow down, and this is no different might in fact be advantageous for defenders. Near table smashers, loopers, loop-drivers, choppers, chop-blockers, counter-loopers, counter-punchers, heavy-cutters pushers, side-spin snakes, there isn't a category this blade isn't suitable for. Yasaka Battle Balsa
Review of Yasaka Battle BalsaFor a balsa blade, this has very good loop drive and counter-loop speed. No slow-down. Mid-hard rubbers on this blade all the way. If you like Chinese rubbers consider boosting to help develop speed, later on you can build the muscles to put the extra power without the booster. Euro rubbers like Rakza7 work really well. Yasaka Battle Balsa is a blade weaponised for battle :-D Dwell time is like a typical Balsa blade great touch and superb acceleration when you need it.Nov 28, 2019
