Solid woods (i.e. wood without any synthetic fiber layers) are very particular. A solid wood provides a good blend of control, feel and pace, whereas the bounce should not be too hard. However, exceptional blades should be able to offer that certain something. The andro Ligna Tour does just that and provides you with the complete package of perfect balance for easy handling, fine workmanship and an exceptional feel for the ball. Each of your strokes gains quality to make it more difficult for your opponent. Ball control increases and your error ratio decreases.
Origin, water content, storage, processing method and many more aspects have big influence on the playing characteristics. For the in Germany manufactured exclusive andro LIGNA series only the finest wood, which is also used for manufacturing violins, is processed.
Particular attention is given to the sawing method of the wood veneers: Only the finest sawn veneers are processed for LIGNA woods. Major advantage is that the processing leaves no scar on the veneers behind. Consistently solid and clean cut veneers on both sides form the foundation for an outstanding feel. The wood in the way it should be.
Amazing blade with a medium hard touch. Mine is 85gr. and it is definitely offensive loopers blade. The blade makes all kind of topspin easily. Excellent dwell time with medium to hard rubbers. It remembers me to Soulspins Spin Offensive with less catapult. The Ligna Tour is fast (one of the fastest I tried)and very controllable ( linear speed) Feedback goes straight to your palm. Sad that it's discontinued.
Excellent blade. Just a little slower than Andro Ligna Off+, but with better control. Super nice to play with, every ball can be attacked with high-spin and speed, control and feeling are immense. With medium hard rubbers is absolutely great.
I’ve tried nearly every top end 5 ply woods and 7 ply woods, including, the nittaku acoustic, S-5, stiga all round, nostalgic offensive, Ma Long 3, v5 pro, sanwei fextra, tsp reflex 50 award off. They all have pros and cons. This blade does it all really well with excellent control.
Weight - flared, 90 grams, Fh/Bh Cornilleau Target Pro h47 2.0 - 191 grams, slight head weight, not any significant weight distribution issues.
This blade has it all, it is a dream to block, serve, push, loop and counter comfortably with little to no work required for the spin and speed it produces. Touch game is solid, backspin pushes can be your choice for deception, blocking is crisp, lands every time with little wobble due stiffening when hit hard. It’s stiff when hard contacts occur intentional or not and the ball blazes back, even when blocking, the ball can fly right back with no effort safely on the table. Loops-9.5 Blocks - 9.7 Serve Receive - 9.2 Counters/Drives - 9.6. Feel - 9.3 Speed -9.1
It doesn’t seem like you can miss or overshoot on slow shots or fast shots with the same amount of spin. I would love for this blade style to be reinstated, it’s a great 5 ply blade that has the perfect feedback and control with above average speed for a 5 ply.
