There are 7 users using the Donic Waldner Dotec Carbon.
The carbon layers are placed on top of a 4 mm strong Balsa core. Covering and middle ply consist of 0,6 mm Limba for each ply.
Playing Characteristics:
The combination of Carbon, Limba, Balsa and Dotec ensure an extraordinary synthesis of speed and control. Despite of the enormous potential for speed, quick topspins and smashes, the ball control for touch shots and slower play is remarkable with this blade.

Its hard to go back after using the handle this blade provides. the Cork deadens the unwanted vibration without killing feel for the ball. the result is a very smooth feel.
The blade itself has a lot of speed as well as ease of touch.
One of the highest ratios of control to speed I've experienced in a blade.
One thing to note is the design of the handle results in a more closed forehand and a more open backhand. The amount is marginal but worth mentioning. This means it is a bit more difficult to loop on the backhand side and a bit easier to loop on the forehand side.
i'd been using this blade for last 3 seasons - in combination with Z1 & Z2 max+..
pros: handle, handle, handle - the size, the thickness, the feeling (soft and not slipping), helping to keep proper technique
cons: handle ( :) ) - the shape is quite a limitation for some unique serves.. + in my case durability - 3 of 3 blades got crack between cork & wood handle connection within 1 month or less (causing inconvenient feel during the game) - and basically it was the reason I left this blade (interesting that my old Dotec blade /no carbon/ which I used for 2 season and still using for "may damage" occasions don't have this issue - cork/wood connection is solid).
Not sure about power - enough for spinny style, but I felt lack of power for pressure game (it was not bad in general, but still not fast enough as regular carbon blades) - maybe caused by weight - with same rubbers setup was Dotec Carbon blade lighter about 14g compared to standard carbon blade - sounds like nothing, but the difference in power was huge..
Control was awesome, power as stated, no vibration at all thanks to cork..
The moment I picked up this blade, the first thing that struck me was the handle. It's a game-changer! The unique design had me puzzled initially about which side was meant for the forehand. But after some experimentation, I found that placing my thumb on the side with the Donic logo just felt right. It gives a snugger fit, and there's a subtle bulge where the thumb rests, which is a brilliant touch. This little elevation allows for better power transfer when I'm executing those backhand strokes, giving me an edge during intense rallies.
Compared to the traditional FL handle, the Dotec handle is noticeably thicker. It's crafted from a material that resembles the cork of a fine wine bottle – porous and excellent at absorbing sweat. As someone with sweaty palms, this feature is a godsend. It keeps my grip firm and consistent throughout the game, without any slippage or discomfort.
In terms of rubber combination, I paired it with the Xiom Vega China VM on the forehand and the Butterfly Rozena on the backhand. This pairing has been a revelation. The blade and rubber work in harmony to deliver a sublime looping experience. The balls just seem to glide off the racket with precision and power, allowing me to place my shots exactly where I want them.
One of the most noticeable differences is the weight. This setup is at least 10 grams lighter than my previous racket, and it shows. The increased maneuverability has given my game a new level of fluidity. I can now react quicker to those fast-paced shots and execute my strokes with more finesse.
Overall, the Donic Waldner Dotec Carbon blade has exceeded my expectations. It's not just a piece of equipment; it's a tool that has enhanced my performance on the table. If you're looking to take your table tennis game to the next level, I highly recommend giving this blade a try. It might just be the upgrade you've been searching for. ?
Love this rubber- easy to control with enough speed for any intermediate player. A more advanced tournament player will probably want more pure speed and spin. Great for learning strokes and footwork as it is very controllable. Master player Ti Long on YouTube uses this on forehand, so is certainly up to specs for a pro as well.

Just love it but when I use it like a fan you can hear the carbon bounce does that mean it’s cracked as this has done it from day one
