The Ultra Carbon DEF is absolutely identical to the Ultra Carbon (currently is also the lens identical letters), but the face has a size of approximately 162 x 155 mm.
This version is thus somewhat slow and controlled, and is particularly well suited for players with long pimples. Especially with defensive woods with increased clubface largest possible optimal results zone is important in order to "fish" as many balls can. This is at the Ultra Carbon DEF ensured by the carbon.
The disadvantage of this version is of course the higher weight. In addition, the timber is through the larger face even more top-heavy.
For a defensive blade with enhanced face this wood is quite fast and is therefore suitable for a modern disturbing game with frequent own offensive strokes.

Nice control for ox long-pips. Deadly on counter attacks with FH (or when twiddling) with more than enough speed. Update: Have been trying lots of different blades, all with ox-long pips, the past year. Stage Clipper Wood, Stiga Clipper CC, Stiga Defensive Wood, Dr Neubauer Firewall Plus, Butterfly Petr Korbel, Xiom Vega Pro, Der Materialspezialist Wizard, Spinlord First Strike. Have now come back to the Spinlord Ultra Carbon Defensive since none of the mentioned offers the same in both defense and attack as the SUCD. This is a must for trying out if you´re into modern def. Check out Denis Kalaschevskiy and Fabian Åkerström on youtube and you will see what this blade is capable to do.

A very good blade. Good control, optimal speed, comfortable handle and optimal weight. I also have an Ultra Carbon not DEF and it's also nice.

Very good blade. Excellent reversal, perfect control and fast enough for FH attacks with inverted rubbers or short pips. Highly recommended.
