The CC5 blade is a very unique blade. When designing this blade, STIGA looked to balance control with long trajectory and power. This blade is for the control minded player who still wants to have power when striking the ball.
The very unique CC blades are developed in close cooperation with Liu Guoliang, Xu Xin and other members of the Chinese National Team. The Chinese team is always talking about how important the trajectory of the ball is. With a longer trajectory you can push your opponent away from the table and take control of rallies and the game. Long trajectory and power were the primary demands of the Chinese National Team, so in combination with STIGA's know-how in blade manufacturing, the CC5 and CC7 were developed to meet those demands. Both the CC5 and CC7 have carbon layers inside, along with STIGA's famous NCT and Crystal treatment on the surface.
I was looking for a carbon blade, yet controllable and a guy from my truths worthy store recommended me this one among a few on discount I preselected.
Then I was a bit worried because I read some negative reviews on the internet about it, concerned basically about poor quality and the “long trajectory†that presumably would make you to hit balls of the table all the time.
I took it for a spin and I was so relieved that it wasn’t true. I used an all-wood offensive blade and I did nothing to adapt myself to this one. It is a bit faster, not very much, but control was pretty much the same. I don’t know if the trajectory changes much but I can assure you that my strokes landed on the table in the exactly same percentage than before. I played the usual guys and they were having much more tough time blocking my topspin, it had more or less the same spin but they were faster, especially flat hits. Other noticeable thing was that I felt that in my backhand loop the combo grabbed the ball much better and I was able to generate crazy spin.
To me, it was just like shifting up a gear. Exactly what I was looking for. Nonetheless, there is still another one (maybe the CC7?) and speed is addictive….:) I’ll try to put a slighter harder sponge as I tried it with Xiom Vega Europe and Acuda S2.
About quality, they were right tough. Handling has poor quality and it is a bit sharp. I cannot understand how STIGA does not take care of these details in general, but specially on a 100+ € blade.
In short, a fine blade that an attacking player would enjoy for sure. What I’m not sure if it is worth the full price but if you get a good offer, I’d say that it’s a blade to have in your arsenal.
It's a wonderful blade . No joke! I tried Amultart Zl and it's so much better! With greater feel and touch, it has it all, easy looping and flicking. Due to it's long trajectory your strokes land perfectly on the table no matter at what distance and at short game it has no rival. The reviews make no favor to it, it's probably the best from Stiga and carbon blades. Get it while you can!
This blade is crystal carbon, but it has long dwell time and good control, not stiff nor hard. I feel it rather soft. But when it is used for attack, top spin and looping, it perform very good and fast. It is very nice for blocking, so I would say that my ball returns never go out. When at the first time I used it, I was disappointed. I didn't get the fast blade, I thought I missed reading the data from it's specification before purchasing. But after several time using and trying it, I found the way to use this blade and I can get fast blade, spiny and controllable. I use DHS H3 Neo on FH and Xiom Vega pro on BH.
very balanced blade. Linear growth rate gives a wonderful sense of control. If other bases are sometimes difficult to find the tires, then this blade is very easy to pick up for your style of play. An amazing feeling for the ball and without vibration in feeling a little faster rozevuda 5, and control, spot working great, so it's nice to put thin rubber. optimum rubber 42 and 45 degrees.
