A very precise style defensive blade offering receptive soft feel and exceptional control. This blade is loved by many traditional chop & chisel it back defenders as you can really feel the softness and control of this blade in your hands. A unique structure developed by TSP. The heart of the blade is the central core produced from Balsa cross cut wood using vertically lined wood fibres with outer horizontal plys incorporating fibre glass. The vertical core acts like a series of mini springs and combined with the fibre glass creates an extremely precise and uniform bounce without vibration.
The large deformation of the surface results in a massive sweet spot which in turn gives excellent feeling and control when compared to the dynamic speed of the blade. The lightness of the blade is appreciated by many players.
Each blade features a different millimetre increase in the thinckness of the Balsa core.
All at a very light weight ranging from 70g - 85g. TSPs best selling blades for many years.

TSP Balsa 2.5 Defence
very light, very soft and idk If to say frail but not as frail as the garbage "Allround" series from Butterfly. It's like a quality soft. It lacks power for me. Even If i would have played defensive, i would have liked a harder and more responsive feel. This one is both soft and lacks any kind of power. I even put a boosted Haifu seamoon 2mm Red bouncy rubber, the ball goes mushy sits inside the rubber, this blade doesnt show the true Speed of that rubber, but It is decent for pips play. It's for a very specific type of player. i would advise play with it first, don't throw money on something like this, i'm not a defensive player but it's not for any kind of crazy defensive cut shots or something that you would see pro's do. It's just for standard play.
TSP Balsa 2.5 Defence
I've been using TSP Black Balsa 3.0 for 3 years and needed a spare blade but had difficulty finding anything above 60g,too much flex at these weights so I looked for a heavier copy of the 2.5 at Pingmaster and they had 71g weight👠so to compare...
The feel when ox chopping is softer and more control compared to bb3 and it feels that I can't miss,the vibration is perfect with just enough feedback.
I need to try t05 on f/h and will update.
