Review of Butterfly Tenergy 25I´ve written a review here in 2010 and got upset wirh table tennis and the plastic ball in 2014, but since I lost a lot of weight and my knee doesn`t hurt, I`m back in Business and after some trials, I got back to my old love: The T 25! There is no other rubber like this. You may not like it, but if you do there`s no replacement. The best word to describe the feeling when you play it is chunky. It´s the only rubber I know in the field of true high tech rubbers, when it comes to versatility and control. It`s purely wonderful at everything, except maybe lifting underspin, but since that is one of my favourite balls, I don`t mind at all. That would actually be the only trait from the T 05 I woukd prefer. I cannot recommend it as the FX Version though. That`s completely different. It is absolutely a must trie, because there`s nothing like it and if it`s only for the sake of the experience. Last thing I want to say: a defensive player I know played it for two years and it still was putting tons of spin in the ball.

Review of JOOLA Rhyzen ZGXVery nice surprise. The high rating is naturally a result of how the rubber suits my personal preferences. Very chunky, hard sponge, but much more lively than Victas 401. Heavy spin when serving, chopping and also very heavy on topspin. It does esxactly, what I was looking for in terms of a hybrid rubber. I played H3 Neo and Battle 2 tuned, but I`m not a fan of the changing nature of the tuned rubbers. I really liked Stiga Genesis M, but RZGX is obviously much denser and really has that upper gear I love when turning from heavy underspin to heavy top spin into low arc follow up topspin. The rubber is really very heavy, but since I play pinples ox on one side, I don`t mind. For double inverted players it might seriously be a "burdon". Very linear overall character and very safe blocking. I'm a spin freak and I`m honestly impressed by the spin level - also compared to non chinese rubbers like Tenergy 25, 05, Vega Pro, Nittaku Fastarc G 1. Certainly not as fast, but with that upper gear for killers. I haven`t tried any of the other Rhyzens or Dynarz, so I can`t compare. A perfect rubber for modern defenders, or chopblockers like me that base the offensive part of the game on spin. Summary: Very heavy spin, very high control, strong upper gear.

Review of Sanwei Gear Hyper HardFirst of all, the average spin rating is far to low. This rubber is amongst the spinniest, I´ve played, including T 05 Hard. The big difference compared to other high end rubbers, is that it`s very controlled, in service, return and the short game and the placement is far above average. This rubber is made for precision. It definitely has less base speed, than tensors and alike, but it is far faster than untuned chinese rubbers, and when you acticate the sponge it also allows for very high speed, but it doesn`t have many gears. One could say theres only two gears. First gear is very controlled in the dimensions mentioned, and blocking and the second gear is Hyper:-) Honestly, you may have to find the right technique to powerfully open the game on backspin, which is absolutely doable, but once the ball is in the open game, you can really speed up heavily. It`s the third GH I´m using (one was regular) and I clearly prefer the hard version (all max. sponge). So if you want to pressure your opponent close to the table with viscious serves, pushes and loaded openings and then contnue with highspin or high speed precisicion, this is the weapon - abd the best hybrid for that cause I`ve played so far and outlasts the latter easily. I´m not sure, if maybe a stiff blade is a nescessity (I´ve played it on four different blades but liked it most on my Ultracarbon Innerlayer 5+2, but I´m really a fan for my kind of usage. It is for sure a rubber with it`s own character, but it gives you very honest answers on what you are doing and finally filled the gap, the plastic balls left for my game.
