Review of Andro Hexer PowerspongeI've used this rubber for several years and struggle to find a better alternative.Usually I use Hexer+ on the BH but recently thinking HexerPS might be slightly better. Review Andro Hexer Powersponge - 2.1mm Red on Cornilleau Soft Carbon Off+ Blade with Hexer+ Short Distance: Excellent all-round rubber for all shots: chop, topspin or blocks. Can loop in the short game. Long Distance: Strong loop shots with ability to produce heavy spin off topspin blocks or heavier hits. Topspin: Good steady topspin with ability to counter hit topspin well. Chop / Push: Good steady consistent push shots with ability to produce heavy chop or blocked chop. Review of Gambler Wraith (Wrath)2.1mm Red on 729 Black Whirlwind with Acuda S3 on BH dutyVery tacky rubber when first opened and very little ball bounce but plays with reasonable speed. Short Distance: Provides reasonable consistency for all shots: chop, topspin or blocks. Can brush loop in the short game and generate heavy spin. Long Distance: Lacked some speed impact and required heavy hitting to produce better spin. Topspin: Good heavy topspin but also reactive to heavy spin. Chop / Push: Good steady consistent push shots with ability to produce heavy chop but reactive to heavy chop. Needed more care in strokes than better rubbers. Comparison to Hurricane 3: Reminds me a lot of H3 with maybe more control against heavy chop. I would use it in a similar way to H3. Recommendation: Viable rubber at low price for attacking players. Review of Xiom Vega EliteQuite disappointed in this 2mm red rubber. It proved bouncy up close to the table which caused control issues on blocks and lacked speed and spin back from the table. Review of Xiom True Innovation AsianTried 2 sheets of this rubber and loved both.Review XIOM True Innovation - 2.1mm Red on Cornelieu Soft Carbon Off+ Blade with Hexer+ Durability: Rubber breaks down at the edges within 2-3 months. Short Distance: Fantastic rubber for short game in either chop or topspin or blocks. Long Distance: Strong loop shots with ability to produce extreme spin when brushed aggressively. Topspin: Encourages aggressive topspin in the short game. Chop / Push: Good steady consistent push shots with ability to produce heavy chop or blocked chop. Comparison - Hexer +: Very similar and potentially better for the short game as XTI has a shorter throw. Recommendation: Suit offensive player prepared to replace the rubber every 2-3 months.
