Xiom Vega Intro

Review of Xiom Vega IntroI started with faster tensor rubbers with bigger catapult effects. Switching to intro gave me control and confidence in my game. I was no longer overshooting as much as before, and misreading the spin on the serve didn't mean I lost the point automatically anymore. One major benefit of reduction in speed is pushing and short game. The ball doesn't bounce away as quickly, and you can guide your pushes safely where you want them to go. I started making a lot less unforced errors with this rubber. As for attacking strokes, with the fast bouncy rubbers I'm always reducing my strokes in fear of overshooting. But with intro I'm able to swing confidently, and therefore also swing harder making up for the lack of speed if any. It's quite grippy, decent spin. Keeping the ball on the table won me many more points than any extra speed from faster tensors. Loving the rubber, using 1.8 on both sides of an allround 5w blade. Agree with other reviews that it's like a slightly sped up classic rubber. Cheap price too. Aug 22, 2022

Xiom Vega Europe

Review of Xiom Vega EuropeUsed as BH rubber, following many recommendations online.I like it, I honestly can't tell the difference between this and rakza 7 soft which I use now. Both are medium soft and nice rubbers. I am able to hit quite hard with BH on them, and keep the ball on the table. Sometimes I'll throw in a BH serve with right sidespin, and it often gives trouble to the opponents. Xiom vega europe in 2.0 was perfectly fine as a BH rubber for me, when I was learning to play, and also as intermediate. I think that the softness makes it easier to execute faster shots with less effort. Jul 25, 2022

Yasaka Rakza Z

Review of Yasaka Rakza ZAlways struggled to generate significant topspin on my strokes, but this rubber almost does it for you. It's throw angle is rather high, which means you have to close the racket angle more for drives. This was an easy and instant adjustment for me, and after which I started to brush the ball a lot more, keeping it low over the net and super spinny. Gives opponents a lot of trouble, especially the less experienced ones. The tackiness helps with lifting underspin; this rubber is a confidence booster. I think this best of both world's hybrid approach to tackiness and sponge is perfectly balanced. Perfect for offensive topspin play, serve and receive are also excellent thanks to tackiness. The downsides are it's not good for flat hitting (which shouldn't really matter, as loop-drive / brushing strokes are a better option imo, and with this rubber you'll do it instinctively). And the weight. I don't find it a problem either, because I lift weights lol. previously used rubbers : mark v, xiom vega europe, xiom vega intro, rakza 7 soft. Aug 08, 2022
