Butterfly Tackiness Drive
|
Review of Butterfly Tackiness DriveNice rubber for control. Blocks great. Yes indeed, does lack that uumpf when sometimes you need it so therefore It is better on backhand, where as something like a sriver would fair better on forehand.
However it does perform well close to table blocking. I have 1.5mm. tried chopping, but find it harder to chop as lacks bite.

Butterfly Super Anti (Anti-spin)
|
Review of Butterfly Super Anti (Anti-spin)It's a good anti spin rubber. Solid, controlled and consistent. Lovely feeling. Chops well. Hits flat. Hits very well, and easy to change from def to attack. That makes for a useful defensive rubber. If your a good anti player who can use anti well it's a pretty good choice I'd say. Another good anti is neo anti. I've two set ups now using both models.

Review of Butterfly Tenergy 05 FXReally like it because it's dynamic. Crisp, fast and decent spin, yet controllable. I play with it alongside a butterfly anti spin, and balsa carbon blade. Great attacking set up.

DHS Hurricane 2 (H2)
|
Review of DHS Hurricane 2 (H2)Just started using again, this time on a very light set up directed at the modern defense game. With the light blade (combi balsa ) twinned with curl p1r. Thin sponge it's a joy.
The H2 can chop some devilish chops. Playing up the table I can play fast direct backhands with little kick, just flat. It has very hard sponge. Good tackiness so decent spin on service. Surprisingly good chops especially when I mix with LP rubber. Cracking cheap reverse rubber, with oodles of control. Yes it's better closer to table. Away, it can lose fishing ability and general flamboyance like the tenergy family. But I'm learning a shorter up to table type of game going for direct flat drives.

DHS Skyline TG3
|
Review of DHS Skyline TG3Crisp as a nut, hard as nails. Really love this rubber as it seems my game has progressed to enjoying the harder sheets. Play curl LPs on other side and twiddle. Find it better on backhand to be fair, where blocks and fast off the bounce drives can win points. Ball stays low flat and fast. Kinda similar to hurricane 2 which is also hard. But now prefer skyline...I think it's better.

Review of Juic Neo Anti (Anti-spin)I've played this rubber which was given to me many years ago. Picking up after the frictionless ban it seemed the best rubber to choose. Very slow, spinless, with total absorption of incoming power shots with plenty of control. Currently playing on an old stiga Def blade with chop and drive on the other side. Chops well blocks well u can punch, roll and hit. Best used to twiddle, play fore and back. Pays to be aggressive sometimes and go for flat kills. Better when mixing with reverse and creating the contrast of spin and no spin. A lot of players have found it tricky, others seem to just hit through. For control it is superb. Move ball around table easy and full of control. Best not to get reliant on it like I sometimes do. So mix is the key for sure. Know a player who uses it to deadly effect, it is for sure a tenergy repressor.

Nittaku Fastarc G-1
|
Review of Nittaku Fastarc G-1Initially set up as a replacement for my defensive set on a def old blade. First time use just could not control. So, then I put it on my nittaku combi blade. Third use and it's come alive. Brilliant spin touch feel with oodles of power. Love it

Review of Stiga Chop & DriveThis is a super rubber. I've an old old sheet of this and, I believe it's around the 1.7mm mark sponge. Honestly it's superb. Firstly quality is stunningly good. My sheet is very old but still plays very well. Great control with consistency, good for blocks, can chop, and good spin. Ive kept mine clean with spinmax cleaner, which has prolonged the life. It pairs well on a def blade. I use anti on other side.

Stiga Mendo Energy
|
Review of Stiga Mendo EnergyRecently picked up a black sheet with max sponge, reasonable price. Plays really nice. Oodles control, decent in spin pace and gears. I played another stiga model, and very happy with this one as a change. Don't usually buy maxed out sponges, but it plays fine and I've gotten use to it quickly without issues. A decent cheaper rubber.
