Review of DHS PF4-50The slowest inverted rubber I have ever used. Slightly tacky out of the package, completely non-tacky after 2 play sessions, and not spinny at all. Great for placing the ball exactly where you want, not so much for hitting winners. Plays more like short pips than inverted in terms of spin and speed. 46 grams cut weight, about average for inverted. Great for novices and control players. I purchases a "medium" sponge version, which is about 1.8mm.

Review of Huieson RainbowI got it in pink for my wife, and tested it for 5 minutes on the robot. It's a nice beginner rubber, and only $5 on AliExpress. An all-around rubber, it only comes in 2.0, which is nice since 2.2+ is typically too much for lower levels. Looping, hitting, blocking, pushing, chopping were all fine and easy to control given the soft and slow sponge.

Review of Palio AK 47 RedNO WHERE CLOSE TO THE MAX ALLOWED THICKNESS of 4.0mm for rubber+sponge. The sponge measures closer to 2.0 than 2.2, and the rubber sheet is very thin around 1.5mm. The total thickness of 3.5 mm is less than most of the 2.0mm rubbers out there today. Such a shame, if they make this rubber with a 2.5mm sponge it would be a great forehand rubber, and a tuners dream. As it is, for me it's only good as a backhand rubber. The Red 2.2 sponge cut for a T11s shakehand weighed out at 41 Grams. 10 grams lighter than Tenergy 2.1. Great rubber for the price, good speed and spin for a budget rubber. I prefer the Red sponge over the Blue. Sorry PALIO but I Don't Always Love It Only, I only love it on the backhand.

Review of Palio AK 47 BlueThis review is based on 2.2 sponge. For me the AK47 BLUE is inferior to AK47 RED in almost every way. RED is better for loops, kills, blocks, serves, and has a better margin for error. The BLUE is just too soft, great for dwell time, if your stroke and timing are both perfect. My cut BLUE sheet is 40 grams, and the RED is less at 39. 10/20/2022.

Review of Palio CJ8000 36-38°This is a review for Palio CJ8000 Purple Sponge 2.0mm 36-38° Color Black.
Uncut it was 61g, and cut it is 42g, which I define as light for inverted. Peeled and glued right out of the package it will pick up a ball 2 inches or so when pressed from above, which I define as slightly tacky, less tacky than the brand new Tenergy I put on the other side of the blade. The sponge is a bouncy Japanese style, and it pairs nicely with the topsheet for allaround play on my backhand. Good control blocking, pushing, hitting, and looping, no doubt some of this control comes from the lack of speed. Overall a great value for it's cost.

Review of Palio CJ8000 2-Side Loop TensionTechComparing this rubber to the regular Palio CJ8000 36-38°, the TensionTech is much faster out of the box. After breaking in the regular the TensionTech is only slightly faster (the regular is insanely slow out of the box and must be broken in). The TensionTech does have a slight click to it when hitting the ball, and my subjective feel is that I like it better for looping. The TensionTech is a couple of grams lighter than the regular (lavender sponge), 40g vs 42g (cut). I do feel the TensionTech is worth the extra $2 on AliExpress for offensive play. Unfortunately TensionTech only comes in 2.2 with the 36-38 degree sponge. For defensive play the regular would be preferred since it comes in a variety of thickness and hardness options. Either way you can't beat the price/quality of this rubber, it's the best <$10 rubber that I have found.

Review of Sanwei T88-IIIHard to beat for $5 for both a red and black sheet from AliExpress. Not bouncy like modern rubbers, old school goodness here, distinctive gears give a better margin for error than the slightest mishit bouncing too much or little. I've ordered 4 sheets so far, uncut weights with protector file in grams, red 57.6 and 62.5, Black 57.0 and 60.8, nice and light, but a high variance sheet to sheet. I use it on my backhand as an all around rubber. It can hit, loop, flip, block, push, and chop, not very fast or powerful at any of these, but not bad at any of them. More of a beginners rubber, but perfectly usable for me on a fast blade, and really helps my elbow issues with the light weight.

Review of Sanwei T88-DevourA slow beginners rubber, sold with the marketing hype of "Provincial Blue Sponge", and priced higher than the other T88 variants. After play testing it's not significantly different than T88-III or T88-II Ultra Spin in speed, spin, or control. It is a light weight rubber, 41g on my blade.

Review of Stiga Innova Ultra LightUsed this rubber quite a lot in the 2000's on my backhand. Back in the day it was ultra light for a max rubber, 50-55g uncut. Lot's of gears with great versatility, but it would start losing speed after a month, and be dead after 2. I recently picked up a sheet on AliExpress for $12, which weights 70g uncut, the sponge is not how I remember it, and is way too heavy. I think the stuff on AliExpress is counterfeit, if I remember correctly this rubber went out of production around 2010. Highly recommend you DO NOT BUY this rubber today!
