Review of Air Scirocco SFReally nice spin for serves and loops, feel for the ball and overall control are excellent. Way better than Mark V or Sriver. It works well for either FH or BH.

Review of Air Illumina X88Superb rubber, generates good speed while maintaining control. Plays good over the table for delicate shots and return of heavy chops. Blocks are excellent. It's completely non-tacky, actually I wish it was slightly tacky maybe to help out with spin on serves. I used to have it on FH, but recently have moved it to BH because of it's excellent countering and good touch, now using Scirocco on FH because it generates more spin on serve and loop.

Review of Gambler Outlaw (Lavender Sponge Tuned)I like this version better than the classic version. It still has the same fast feel, but slightly toned down. Spin is way better. The topsheet is very thin, even thinner than QUL.

Review of Gambler Four KingsI was disappointed in this rubber. Even though it has just the right amount of tackiness and a pretty decent sponge, serves were disappointing. They seem to have spin without bite. Loops are the same. I think the problem is not the sponge, it's the topsheet is so soft and gummy, sort of like a candy that softened out in the sun. I could not get a crisp feeling or reasonable power even on harder shots. For an all purpose rubber, I prefer Giant Dragon's Allround, or even better yet, Yasaka's Mark V.

Review of Giant Dragon SubmarineThis rubber is excellent for chopping as advertised, but overall it plays like a good all-round. No trouble with blocking and countering, loops are surprisingly good. Touch is good enough even at 2.0mm to drop push shots close to the net with good spin. Very easy to lift heavy chop, in fact this may be the best I've tried in that regard. I find it easier to control than Mark V, but spins just as well on loops and serves thanks to a tacky topsheet. It's weakness is can't seem to generate much speed on smashes and flat hits. The sound is somewhat dull, maybe the quietest of all the sheets I've tried. It is very heavy. Overall, it's a good sheet for a controlled game.

Review of Giant Dragon AllroundIt does everything pretty well. Loops, chops, and serves have good spin. Decent speed on flat hits. Blocking is good, almost as good as Submarine. Excellent as a BH rubber or on the FH of a blade that needs toned down a bit.

Review of Palio CJ8000 Biotech 36-38° Japanese SpongeI agree with cyber1call, it's terrific on the BH as blocking and countering are easy with this rubber, but also not bad as a FH rubber on a fast blade bringing some control and really nice loops. My red sheet was 69 grams uncut, the black sheet was a few grams less. I'd say the speed is a bit less than Mark V, spin is closer to Palio Macro Era (had both on the same blade when that comparison was made). It's very springy, when playing with the robot, I sometimes hit it off the back end using it on FH. When I switch to the Macro Era side (still on FH) and doing the same drill, I'll have more shots grazing or going into the net. The black sheet is a bit tackier and a lot spinnier than the red sheet.
