Review of JOOLA Tronix CMDSpecs:Uncut weight of both red and black sheet at 2.0 mm were 62 grams. The topsheet and rubber are soft, but you can feel the high tension. Unlike Xiom Vega Europe, more similar to Andro R42. The surface is very grippy, and the topsheet is somewhat thin as you can see the pimples through it. Playing: Used on a Timo Boll ST handle 85 grams. The feeling is similar to the Andro R42, which makes sense because they have the same ‘thickened sponge, thinned topsheet’ technology. It is lively/springy, but not necessarily fast or uncontrollable. It never feels dead, but it responds accordingly to the input so if you have good feeling and touch, it will feel extremely accurate and intuitive. The throw angle is not high, but not low, so medium. I never felt like a ball of mine should have gone over the net or onto the table, when I made it or missed it I knew exactly why. Overall, I would say it’s a grippier version of the Andro R42, so it’s perfect for slower blades like the Timo Boll Spirit or Xiom ZL Pro. Solid choice for both backhand and forehand. Review of Neottec Hinomi-MI bought this for my forehand at 2.0 mm. Fantastic rubber for a beginner. At $17 a side, the quality to price ratio is brilliant. The description is correct that it plays more direct, but I did not find it too fast at all. Slower than Xiom Vega Europe and Nittaku Factive, around the speed of the Xiom Vega Intro. The XVI is what I'd compare it to the most, very direct and controllable. It's best on the Forehand, I think, because it plays very direct. Your forehand doesn't need as much help lifting the ball or getting speed because of the mechanics, so the slower sponge and lower throw angle helps keep more balls on the table. Gears wise, it's great. Super easy to have a soft touch around the net and on serves, but packs enough 'oomph' to finish a point with the right technique. Review of Neottec Hinomi-SBought this at 2.0 mm to test out so I can recommend to my clubmates, and I absolutely can! The quality is fantastic and I'm very pleased with the performance thus far. It's bouncier than Hinomi-M with a higher throw angle, but the speed is not significantly impacted. It makes backhands so easy, and I honestly prefer it over Xiom Vega Intro for beginners. The higher throw angle but comparable speed allow you to clear the net easily, but not shoot off the table. It built confidence in my wife (recreational beginner) very quickly and we had our longest backhand warmup of the night while she was using it. It has a nice touch around the net despite the bounciness, and looping is very easy with a reasonable amount of spin.
