Review of Butterfly CermetA very good allround attacking rubber, used 1.9mm FH on Jonyer-H Blade. Loops, topspins have plenty of kick and heavy spin, and serves have heavy spin. Quite light. Excellent rubber, one of the best of Butterfly current lineup. I switched to Mark V recently as I can get for much less for similar performance but still rate this as a very good rubber.

Review of Butterfly SolcionI got this after much deliberation as to whether it was worth changing from EL, a cheap, good quality rubber. I wasn't disappointed. This rubber is wonderful for controlled attack and defense, has great spin and a nice "crack" when you hit the ball. My BH has a new dimension, better control and spin because the soft sponge works well to rebound the ball on counter loops and blocks but with fantastic control which allows for perfect placement. Short game is also very good which is something that can't be said of other glue effect rubbers. I may even start using this on FH in 2.1 as even with the 1.9 loops were very spinny and pretty fast - 2.1 would give that little bit of extra power that I use on FH for smashing. Butterflys description for this rubber is spot on. It is a little expensive but in my view is worth every penny. Using 1.9mm on BH of Jonyer H.

Review of Butterfly RoundellUpdated June 12:Agree with previous reviewer who said that that most people are way too harsh. Can be had for less than price of most tensors, it is not as powerful as modern tensors but is a good rubber, those who say it has no grip are wrong, topsheet is grippy, compared to Rakza 7 this has as much grip and can produce as much spin, but better control. I can do crazy hooked sidespin loops easily with this rubber. Short game is better than Tensors (not sure why TTDB has listed it as a tensor as it isn't). Sponge is medium firm, quite bouncy compared to conventional rubbers but not in the way Tensors are. Speed and spin is considerably faster than Sriver-Mark V. Nice pop when hitting hard. Tried this on Tibhar Stratus Powerwood and M Maze, weight is 43g cut in 2.1 thickness.

Review of Butterfly Roundell HardSame topsheet as regular but 5 degrees harder sponge (40 degrees Butterfly scale, weight 47g cut in 2.1mm, 4 grams heavier than regular roundell on same blade. Gives extra power for looping and smashing. Short game is very good. Goes well with Offensive blade. Excellent speed, spin as good as Rakza 7 and much better control [less bouncy than tensors]

Review of Butterfly Tenergy 80Update 30/1 - Got this 2 weeks ago- imported from Japan. Have used it 3-4 times now. Using 2.1 on FH of Stratus Powerwood, cut weight 47 grams. so far really liking it, able to counter loop much more consistently and get shots landed that other rubbers would not do. The feel and spin is better than all other rubbers which I used upto now. Short game very good as well as serving. Huge spin on loops. I don't have the disadvantage of comparing with other Tenergies although have used team-mates bat with T05, whilst good it never impressed me enough to try it. I don't know yet how long it will last but the performance is on another level to all other rubbers I used including Omega IV Pro, Vega, Rakza etc. Update Sept 2013. I went back to Omega IV pro as found the T80 a little too bouncy and not as good for smashing - still a good rubber but I'm too used to Xiom.

Review of Butterfly Spin ArtGot this a few weeks ago (16/1/13), have had chance to play a few times now to give a review. using 2.1 Black on BH of Tibhar Stratus Powerwood. The rubber is heavier than the T80 I am using on the other side, 51 grams cut.
The rubber gives huge spin, particularly on pushes chops and serves, more than any other rubber I have used including Tenergy. Those who try to loop my chops and pushes really struggle even the technically better players are struggling to deal with the amount of backspin. Control is good and blocking is ok. Heavy topspin can be generated when needed on the backhand. Not as fast as Tenergy but was never designed to be. Sponge is hard. Good for allround game with great spin and control. For looping chop not quite as easy as with Xiom Omega IV Pro and lacking a little speed but this could be compensated for with a faster blade

Review of Donic BaracudaI have played with it a few times, In Max on a Korbel. It is like a rocket for me, too fast. I agree it has great spin for serves and good power, great for cracking loops away from the table without having to put in too much effort like I usually have to with the Cryzer and Mark V. I have Sriver EL Max on the BH on the Korbel and they could not be more different, like night and day! When I switched sides after hitting with EL on the FH (which was predictable, nice and linear), I must have hit 3 or 4 straight off the table, the ball just flew off the Baracuda even when I angled the face downwards and hardly play a stroke - Very unusual. I probably would have been better with 1.8 or 2mm but even then I think the controil would not be good - I dont complain about that as I know the ratings before I try the rubber. I prefer the classic rubbers (Mark V, EL)for now and Butterfly High Tension lineup. I have sold it to a mate who likes Donic Tensors. The sponge was very soft, probably around 30 degrees. I would say for anyone who likes Donic Tensors already and looking for a fast very spinny rubber and for power looping away from the table, you would like it.

Review of KTL (LKT) Pro XT Silver DragonOne of the better Chinese rubber I have used. I am a Euro style player and wanted to replace Mark V - It is fast, with a medium hard controllable sponge that goes very well on my HS Cryzer OFF+ rated soft Hinoki blade. Weight of 2mm black cut to blade (regular size) is 47g, which is ok. I find I can hit hard on the BH where it is mainly used, but also push, chop and release very spinny loops - Has Low throw on blocks and drives and topspin takes the ball lower still. Very grippy, slightly tacky. Has a pleasant cracking sound when hitting hard. Also great for away from table looping on BH. The big problem I found was that after 2 weeks of use an air bubble developed in the middle of the rubber on 2 different sheets which was untreatable so I am moving back to Mark V. Good value but let down by poor durability.

Review of KTL (LKT) Black PowerGood backhand rubber. Hard sponge with slightly tacky topsheet, but not like Hurricane series that needs breaking in. This played well straight away. Very good power for backhand drives close to table and mid distance looping on fast blades. Spin for serving is excellent. Short game is good with reasonable control but must play the shot correctly, the throw is quite low. This is an amazing rubber for the price!

Review of KTL (LKT) Rapid SpeedGot this based on reviews on this site, very nice rubber, bit on the heavy side. Faster and with more power than Mark V with around the same spin, Medium firm sponge, throw is medium low so good for fast loop drives, looping backspin needs good technique and blade with some flex but this is not a problem. Used on FH of HS Cryzer for at least 3 months, it is fantastic for the price, have not found anything comparable, really the first rubber I found to replace Mark V or Sriver after long search.

Review of Tibhar Grip-S EuropeHeavy rubber, 52 grams cut to Tibhar Stratus Powerwood. Very grippy topsheet, not tacky at all. Sponge is harder than Omega IV Pro and Sigma Pro. Very good spin but also very reactive to spin. Looping on backhand away from table quite nice with some catapult but seemed slow when chopping or pushing. Fast when hit properly, Interesting rubber, at the moment I am leaning to Omega IV pro on Backhand as allround game better in attack and defence. This would probably suit those who prefer chinese style rubber with some Euro qualities.

Review of Xiom Sigma 1 Prolike most of the new 2012 Tensors this is heavy at 49g cut. Too fast for me coming from Omega IV pro and with less dwell and lower throw. I prefer Omega IV Pro. This rubber could be good on a slower Allround blade in my view or for all out attackers

Review of Xiom Omega V ProI switched to this from IV Asia for BH. The control of this rubber is excellent, I can loop, push, chop, serve well and with a good variety of spin.Throw is medium-medium high. Blocking is good, not quite as good as IV Asia which has harder sponge, lower throw but is less forgiving. This is a very good BH Rubber for an offensive or aggressive allround game depending on blade and thickness, very slightly softer and with a bit more control than Omega V Tour.

Review of Xiom Omega IV ProI used this as my FH rubber for last 3 years, very good spin, speed, low throw, loops dip after hitting other side if table. I didn't think I would find better but have recently switched to Omega V Tour, which whilst not having the same destructive power as IV Pro, has more gears and more control. IV Pro is a very good rubber and suited for aggressive attack

Review of Xiom Omega V TourUsing on FH Max on Tibhar Stratus Powerwood. Switched to this after using IV Pro for last 3 years. A worthy upgrade. Very balanced, good for heavy loop, very good spin, the highest spin of any Xiom Rubber and as rated by Xiom. Very slightly harder than V Pro, bit more speed. Bit Softer and slower than IV Pro, higher throw which makes more loops possible. IV Pro has a bit more power at the top end but this more than makes up for it with more gears for great controlled attack, massive spin, great for short game, can even chop well with it on my FH, something that was very difficult with IV Pro. Overall along with V Pro on BH a great rubber for allround aggressive play, and enough power when needed.

Review of Yasaka Mark V XSI am a big fan of Yasaka having previously used Regular Mark V until recently. I found this version far inferior to regular Mark V, the sponge seemed softer and had very low throw angle with average speed. A Mediocre rubber. Maybe I had a duff sheet. Stick to regular Mark V!

Review of Yasaka Rakza 7 SoftCurrently testing on bh of Stiga Offensive NCT in 2mm. Regular Rakza 7 on fh. Easy to loop with and has huge kick off the table. Most topspin I have got from any rubber. Sponge is very soft, feels like 30 degree. Because of this it is a bit bouncier than normal and I find some drives going long. It certainly has excellent spin and short game is good for tensor. Blocking is not as easy having been used to Black Power which is firm but this will also depend on blade. I may switch to regular Rakza and am intending to use on a harder blade. Best tensor I have used and better control than Tenergy with at least as much spin. 8/10.

Review of Yasaka Rakza 7Using with Stiga Offensive NCT 2mm on FH. Huge spin on serves and opening loops. I can generate great spin with this rubber. Sponge is medium, feels around 35. Good speed and power for FH away from table. Control and short game good for tensor
