Friendship/729 GeoSpin Tacky

Review of Friendship/729 GeoSpin TackyThis rubber is great. I wanted spin for driving & looping more than anything and this rubber delivers. It's the best I've played with.At first some reviews talking about lack of speed concerned me but rest assure you'll be fine. When you smash, you'll get enough speed to put away points. As I hit with this rubber I'll notice how good the spin is. It feels great. But not once while playing did I notice any lack of speed. It's a complete non-issue IMO. My favorite rubber and great price. May 21, 2012

Friendship/729 SP Transcend

Review of Friendship/729 SP TranscendPicked this rubber looking for the tackiest, spiniest, rubber I could find. While the topsheet is very tacky, the sponge is as advertised as I thought it was rock hard. There's a youtube video of this rubber where someone is holding the ball indefinitely. My black rubber could not duplicate that feat. All in all I would recommend trying the Friendship Geospin tacky instead. Same price and IMO Geospin's rubber is just as tacky with a noticeably softer sponge. May 21, 2012

Friendship/729 804 (Anti-spin)
Review of Friendship/729 804 (Anti-spin)I agree with Glenn's review and can see why this called half anti.I personally was very disappointed with this rubber. When you purchase an anti spin, you'd expect something very slick and has little to no reaction to spin. This is not the case with this rubber at all. I have a 10 year old Mark V rubber on one of my old bats. Honestly the grip on this 804 anti spin is not that far less than my old, old Mark V. Take a not very grippy old inverted rubber, never clean it and boom you'll have this rubber. :P Simply not what you'd expect from an anti spin. Jan 14, 2013

Friendship/729 729 OEM

Review of Friendship/729 729 OEMThis is really an amazing rubber for the price. For a long time now, I've tried almost every $14-20 cheap, tacky Chinese rubber under the sun. Honestly this rubber plays just as well as a lot of those. And it's only 5 bucks! Amazing.Pretty tacky. Good grip. I've owned two of these. the first sheet was very tacky. The next one I would say is moderately tacky. Regardless, this is a high spin rubber on a medium sponge. It hits very nice. I can't recommend it enough. Try it out. You'll be hooked. You'll love the price and you'll love the fact that you can order this rubber several times over getting brand new sheets for the cost of one standard rubber. Mar 14, 2013

Gambler Outlaw (Tuned)
Review of Gambler Outlaw (Tuned)I have played about 12 hours with this rubber on 3 separate occasions. My overall impression is that it's okay but just not for my personal taste.Speed. Good Control. Good Price. Very Good Durability. No issues so far on 12 hrs of play Seems like a good hitting rubber. Where it seemed to lack for me is the spin. Never felt I was getting the amount of topspin I was looking for. Looping was a challenge and IMO took more effort than it should have. Another review above said this plays like Sriver which I agree. Unfortunately I can't stand Sriver. My brother loves it. I think I prefer a tackier topsheet. So, just not for me. Mar 13, 2012

Gambler Burst (Thors Hammer Sponge)
Review of Gambler Burst (Thors Hammer Sponge)Likely the best $14 inverted rubber I've ever played with.Speed: Is real good on the Thor's Hammer sponge. I have it paired with a flexy, slower blade so the speed could be even greater on a less flex, more speed oriented blade. Sponge is relatively firm but spingy enough to give good feel. I think this rubber plays best on the forehand. It might be a little fast or not soft enough for my personal taste on the backhand. Spin: The topsheet is very good and pretty tacky. Not on the same level as H3 or say Battle 2 which are almost flypaper tacky. But the tack here is good and grabs the ball very well. In short, this is an ideal forehand rubber. Tacky topsheet, firm, yet springy, sponge that offers plenty of seed without boosting. I think I still prefer H3 Neo more as my all time favorite FH rubber but it's splitting hairs. They're neck & neck. The topsheet on H3 is unmatched as far as I'm concerned when it comes to tack but I really like the Thor's hammer sponge here. I think it's a little more modern & dynamic. For the price it's offered, you should definitely try to if you like Chinese tacky FH type of rubbers with plenty of speed. Mar 21, 2018

Yasaka Mark V
Review of Yasaka Mark VThis was my 1st serious rubber on a shakehand I ever owned. I am amazed on the durability of this rubber. It still performs after years. If you want an all around rubber that does a little bit of everything and will last a long time, this is for you. Price is fairly competitive at $31. Particularly for the longevity. You will like this rubber. But with several options in the $14 price range, (see zeropong), I think you can find something comparable cheaper. Mar 07, 2012
