DHS Hurricane 9 Pink
Review of DHS Hurricane 9 PinkCurrently using on the BH of the Stiga Cybershape Carbon and Victas Firefall AC. Has a medium lower throw angle that allows for heavy spin with low trajectory. The low throw can be hard to deal with on defence, but the tacky rubber allows for easier counter hitting and counter looping opportunities when in position. I would recommend for 3-5 ball attackers, mid distance counter attackers or inverted rubber choppers. H3 Neo is a better attacking option of this rubber as they use the same sponge and is faster, but is way more stylish with the pink colouration.tl;dr slightly softer slower H3 Neo but cooler since it’s pink Jun 13, 2023

Victas Triple Extra

Review of Victas Triple ExtraBeen playing with this on my forehand for about 15 hours with MAX thickness now and will be comparing it to Butterfly’s Dignics 09c and Victas’s Triple Double Extra. This rubber to me has a slightly higher throw compared to the 09c and slightly lower then the TD, and like these two plays great close to the table. But to be blunt I think the tacky top-sheet is mostly for show, brushing shots are barely more spiny compared to other tensors although services do receive a moderate amount of additional spin. blocking to my own surprise is very lacklustre compared with 09c and especially TD, it feels like a very hard tensor. Lastly for this review is flat shots, I think both 09c and TD excel for different reasons; 09c is softer and gets a nice amount of spin to bring it down and control the placement, whereas TD is a deadly almost no spin flat shot harder to control but deadlier when it lands. unfortunately TE is too hard to produce good spin to control the ball, and yet too spiny to be deadly even when it goes on. other then flat shots it’s still quite a good rubber for the price, but i think TD is better for the same price. 8/10 Dec 28, 2021

Xiom Omega VII China Ying

Review of Xiom Omega VII China YingTo keep this quick I’m going to give it stats compared to my stats 09c a few comments and some pros and cons.O7CYing: Spin: 9.7 Control: 9 Loop Speed: 8.8 Drive/Smash Speed: 7.4 09c: Spin: 8.8 Control: 9.1 Loop Speed: 8.5 Drive/Smash Speed: 8.8 I believe the difference in loop speed and drive speed of the O7CYing is due to the fact it is high tension giving it fast kick off the rubber on loops but slower on drives and smashes due to the 60° hard sponge which doesn’t allow the ball to sink very far to get the tensor kick. Pros: -Very spin insensitive when even slightly hitting through the ball. -High spin even on low effort shots. comparable to H3 in my opinion. -Tensor helps make off balance shots have a higher chance to land compared to non tensors. -Tackiness allows for higher gears better pace change and blocking. Cons: -Horrible durability, the tackiness lasted for 6 weeks or about 50 hours of play before the hitting spot on the rubber became low throw and the surrounding area still medium low making some shots fly high or low. -Hardness make it give little feedback, non issue if you have a good stroke. -Slow smash speed means if you are playing higher level players or using a non off+ blade you may have to twiddle to a softer rubber to get more power out of a smash. -Weight is very heavy, 63g after cutting on my cyber shape. Overall would be an amazing rubber if you are okay with the weight and getting a new rubber every month. But with it lasting not even half as long as 09c and costing more then half the price it doesn’t make sense if you aren’t at least at a semi pro level or have money to burn. 10/10 if you are rich AF. 8/10 if you are poor like me. Xiom Zeta China
Review of Xiom Zeta ChinaI love this rubber. It plays extremely close to a boosted H3 Blue Provincial with slightly higher throw, with a bit less spin without the need to re-boost due it being a tensor. Tackiness is decent holding the ball for 1-3 seconds on a new sheet and half a second after 6 weeks. Durability is decent, currently on the court roughly 8-12 hours a week and find it’s great for me up to 6-7 weeks before losing surface tackiness and starts to slip on brush loops and brush counters. Both blocking and pushing has excellent control being able to keep both low, slow and short when required, it’s a little bouncier then unboosted H3 provincial but way more controllable then any other tensor including D09c. Mid-high speed tensor allows for both controlled over the table and mid distance power looping on a off+ blade.Downside time… First is how flat the slap against topspin is, it barely arcs making it quite hard to time. I personally remedy this by twiddling to my BH rubber when I need to smash. And my main gripe would be the hardness, specifically in humid weather. It like many other hard rubbers struggle to grip the ball on short brush pushes and brush loops and brush counter loops in humid weather and like the previous downside it is simply common with other hard rubbers over 50° like it. other notes & comments: 54° hardness. Great for any player with over a year experience up to a semi-professional. Chinese style rubber with no boost required. Only roughly 30 USD. Can only be purchased from Chinese stores. QC can be iffy like most other tacky Chinese rubbers. Jun 11, 2024

Yasaka Valmo

Review of Yasaka ValmoSo when i first got this rubber i was a flat hitter, and this rubber, although very fast when flat hitting,it is better for looping. It produces a bit more spin then the TSP super ventus, as well as the hexer grip. I believe the most prominent feature of this rubber is its feeling; it feel almost a soft as the rakza 7 soft, but unlike the R7S it never bottoms out, even when you blast the ball as hard as you can it will barely get down to the blade, and nobody ever needs to hit it that hard in a game. And unlike a lot of rubbers i have used (hexer grip, super ventus, rakza 7, rakza 9 among others) this rubber doesn't "bite" the ball, instead i'd say the ball sinks into it before being propelled out with lots of feeling and control. i personally use it on my forhand on 3 different blades currently (1. Tibhar stratus power wood OFF- 2. andro kanter explorer OFF 3. premade donic waldner 900 blade ALL/ALL+), i don't like it on my BH because of the propelling feeling as i prefer the "biting" feeling on my BH.- Over all I personally think this is far superior to the rakza series when it comes to a looping play style, generating slightly more spin and and a tiny bit more speed then the rakza 9 with a unique feel, and the durability is great being primarily made out of a very flexible rubbery natural gum. 9.5/10 Nov 19, 2019
