Review of Globe 999TTried this on a 7-ply wood blade and on a carbon blade. Quite good control and spin. Very good chops on both blades. Fine loops on wood blade but not so much on the carbon blade. Very comfortable throw angle; maybe a tad higher than Kokutaku 868. Fairly heavy, though.

Review of Kokutaku 868Good value; gives mostly balanced overall play with reasonable feel, good chops, and pretty good slow loops. Spin is fairly good. Tends to go long on fast loops, even on an ALL wood blade and despite diligent efforts to adjust.

Review of KTL (LKT) Pro XTNot bad for the price. Lower throw and slightly lower speed than Palio CJ8000; so keeps more drives on the table but also nets more balls. My experience with the 2.0mm, using Bfy Free Chack on a Sanwei M8 blade, is that the throw is medium low, not medium high. Spin is different than Palio; can vary the spin well, and sometimes produce nice kick off the table, but less consistent than Palio. Sponge feels dead on touch shots and close loops; combined with the low throw, forces me to think harder on loops than Palio, which loops on autopilot. Weighs 54g uncut (red and black each). Creates different problems for opponent than Palio; not sure which is harder to play against. I might prefer the 2.2mm to the 2.0mm.

Review of Palio CJ8000 Biotech 39-41°I'm currently using this rubber on a Galaxy T-11+ blade (both wings), which is an odd combo. The blade and the rubber are both very good alone, but the rubber is heavy enough to make the combo quite top-heavy on this light blade (mine weighs less than 69g). The rubber weighs about 52g cut (each side) and is noticeably heavier than several other rubbers in my experience, especially various Butterfly and Donic. I don't know who contributed to the low weight ratings on this site, but the weight ratings posted for the other sponge choices on this rubber (4.5 for 36-38 degree, and 6.0 for the 40-42 and 42-44 degree versions) are more realistic. Balance would actually be better if used with a heavier blade, as this setup is by far the most topheavy of the approximately 20 rackets I have played with. Even so, control is excellent, and the grippy rubber delivers an effective "stealth spin" that can cause problems for an opponent despite not feeling so spinny. On this blade, the throw angle is nicely medium. Can chop all day, smashes are reliable, drives can be placed with pinpoint accuracy (after I adjust to the odd balance), loops can be well planted on the table from close to mid distance, blocks are good, touch shots are fine. A super bargain (found some on eBay for under 13 USD per pair with shipping).

Review of Palio CJ8000 38-41°Surprisingly good for the price! Balanced all-around play, with perfect throw angle, good spin, and moderate speed (slow enough to control, fast enough to win points). Blocks, touch shots, & pushes are good; loops are very good; serves are OK. Excellent control, not sensitive to incoming spin, and very linear response. Can win points with either speed or spin. Am using 2.2 mm on Sanwei M8 blade, both sides, which I find to be a comfortable and effective combination. Red weighs 61g uncut, black is 63g uncut; about 15g removed in cutting. I prefer it to 729 Cream (which has less control and less effectiveness against opponent), Butterfly Wakaba (which gives less spin), and probably to LKT Pro XT (which has a lower throw angle).

Review of SpinLord MarderMy experience with this rubber (1.8mm) on a Sanwei M8 blade is somewhat different than the other reviews here. The pluses are, as others have said, light weight (red 53g and black 54g uncut), very good spin, insensitive to incoming spin, fairly good throw angle, and seemingly good durability (I have had mine for several months and it is as new). However, mine has a very nonlinear response with flat hits going long (much higher speed than Palio CJ8000 or LKT Pro XT on the same blade). For that, I deduct control points and add speed points. It provides can't-miss blocks, but mine does not absorb incoming speed on counters, and it's not the blade's fault.
