Review of Butterfly Rozena1.9mm weighs 43g cut. Rozena is an excellent backhand rubber when paired with Butterfly ALC blades (I have ZJK ALC). Medium hardness is around 45 degrees ESN. Throw angle is medium, which is perfect for backhand. People say Rozena doesn't have much spin, but my opponents always tell me my backhand drive is very spinny, so it comes down to technique. Of course, it has less spin than Tenergy and Dignics though. Great control, including in short game. This is the perfect backhand rubber for me. Review of Friendship/729 Presto SpinI have a sheet of Red 42 degrees on forehand. Weight is average at 48g cut/67g uncut. 42 degree rubber is hard; I would say it is 50 degrees on ESN scale. In a side-by-side finger pinch test, it is almost as hard as 40deg Hurricane 3. Sponge is dense and not porous, compared to Xiom Vega Euro DF. Topsheet is very grippy and you can generate a lot of spin. Speed & catapult are less than Xiom Vega Euro DF. I would prefer more catapult. Overall, good rubber for spin & control, but too hard for me.UPDATE: I received a Black 42 degrees, and it is much softer; probably 45 on ESN scale. And it is 65g uncut. 729's quality control is really bad for the two rubbers to be so different. 4/6/2021 Update: After only 20 hours of play, topsheet has zero grip. Durability = 1 out of 10. Review of Gambler Sevens ProWeight: 40g cut. Fantastic rubber for the price for beginners/intermediate. Tackiness disappears after a few days, but the topsheet remains grippy after 3 months of playing, unlike Gambler Zero. Soft sponge makes it easy to control and generate spin. I could lift underspin balls much easier than with harder rubbers. The rubber is "slow" by today's standards, but it gives you confidence to hit hard and know your balls will land on the table. If you need more speed, you can pair it with a harder, faster blade, which I think would work well. I used it on forehand with Gambler Fire Dragon Touch blade. 2021 UPDATE: boosting with 2 layers of baby oil (mineral oil) made the rubber 10~15% faster and spinnier. Review of Sanwei Gear Hyper HardBlue medium-hard weighs 43g cut. Throw angle, Speed and spin are very similar to Rozena. I can switch between this rubber and Rozena no problem, which is great for the price (15 USD). Unfortunately, after two weeks, the topsheet grip significantly decreased and the ball started slipping a lot in humid conditions. Review of Xiom Vega Euro DFI tried 2.0mm on FH and BH. 2.0mm weighs only 38g when cut.Extremely easy to play with low catapult effect. Lifting underspin is so easy! Perfect balance of speed, spin, and control. This is my first ESN Tensor, but I had no problem adjusting. Negative: durability is very bad. Review of Xiom Vega ProMax thickness is 71g uncut, 50g cut. Easy to play rubber for any level. Performance is great and speed is very linear. Serves are spinny. Short game isn't bouncy, but power shots are fast. However, the problem with this rubber is topsheet durability. The topsheet starts showing abrasion and loses grip after only 5 hours of play. Review of Yinhe Jupiter IIJupiter 2 38deg is a very good rubber for the price. It feels like more of a hybrid to me, and doesn't require technique change from euro rubbers. Weight is 47g cut (with the factory glue, 45g without). Topsheet is thin and tackiness is light-to-medium. If you don't use protector sheets, I think it'll just turn into a nice grippy rubber. Throw angle is high on a Sanwei Fextra blade. The sponge responds strongly to boosting with baby oil.UPDATE: I want to clarify that the rubber is playable with the same technique as Euro/Jap rubbers, but the spin & arc will be weak. Review of Yinhe Jupiter 3 AsiaJupiter 3 ("J3") H38 Black is 48g cut to my Yasaka Goiabao (5-ply wood OFF), which is about the same as Jupiter 2 H38. J3 H38 is way tackier than J2. It is similar to Hurricane 3; it can pick the ball up off the table.After 1.5 hours of training today, I can conclude J3 is a HUGE upgrade from J2. It is much faster. The top-end speed is similar to Vega Pro, which I used in a tournament 2 days ago. The power on FH loops is deadly. Mechanical spin is slightly better than J2. I would rate the control 10/10. I don't really know how to explain it; I just felt like I couldn't miss any shot. And FH drive during warmup felt the most consistent ever for me. Lifting underspin was super easy due to the grip and speed. Surprisingly, serves didn't seem spinnier than J2, and were harder to make spin than Vega Pro. I will need to practice using my wrist to create more acceleration. As long as the durability holds up, I don't plan on switching away from this rubber. The performance is shockingly good for $17 USD. UPDATE: after one month (~25 hours) of playing, 95% of the tack is gone. It obviously lost some spin, but It's still grippy and the topsheet doesn't show any abrasion. I'm totally satisfied with this rubber and have already ordered another sheet. UPDATE 2: I got my sheet of Black H37. The tackiness is less than H38; about the same as Jupiter 2. H37 weighs 48g cut. UPDATE 3: I got a sheet of Rakza Z to compare. Rakza is slower with a deader feeling, and obviously harder than J3 H37-H38. Rakza Z spin is slightly more on slow swings. Not much difference on fast swings. I bought this after seeing good reviews in China, which compared it to Vega Asia. I would say the comparison to Vega Asia is very accurate. Good speed & spin with medium catapult. Many gears, so no problem in the short game. I've been using it for 4 months on BH and it is still grippy, so durability is much better than Xiom Vega rubbers in my experience. This rubber can easily replace entry-level ESN rubbers and only costs 18 USD.
