Loki has released a Rxton 3 in blue and pink with an all-new sponge. The blue is so different to the black, really it's a whole different rubber. I have both the blue and black Rxton 3 on a hard OFF+ all wood blade. The black is a semi tacky hybrid, but the blue is very tacky - less than a H3 or Battle 2, but it will lift a ball over a foot and hold it for a full second or more. Blue sponge has slight inverse dome to it out of the wrapper, while the black lies flat. The black has a open-pored sponge at about 45-47 degrees, while the blue has a white traditional Chinese sponge that's much harder! My guess is it's 50 degrees or over - it's harder than B2 sponge and seems harder than a H3 sponge during a pinch test. Folding both the black and blue rubbers in half and squeezing to feel the resistance demonstrates the blue rubber has FAR more resistance than the black!! It is MUCH stiffer. Still only very early days for me with the blue version, and I have yet to have a decent hit with it... but going by the initial impressions I really like it!! It feels like a far faster, springier B2 or H3. No catapult effect, very linear, and you need to engage the sponge to get the speed and spin out of it. Both the H3 and B2 are slightly tackier, and therefore spin more than the blue... but not by much! The blue in Max has a considerable speed edge but you need to engage the sponge. Feels at home on BH and FH. If you want a springer H3-type rubber to use on your bh, this is it! Build quality is very high, and price is reasonable for the rubber you get. Blue topshert feels hard compared to the black. In terms of speed, spin, and value for money, the blue version is close to the top of the tree... but it's definitely one for the hard Chinese rubber lovers out there who like their hybrid rubbers on the tracker side, who get a lot of blade speed in their loops and love to hit hard. If this sounds like you, then the blue Rxton 3 will NOT dissapoint!

Topsheet is the same as Rxton 1, sponge gives little bit more rotation than 1. If you are amateur/intermediate player you will not see much difference between rxton 1 and 3. I recommend rxton series for learning and improving the topspin technique.

I have tested the rxton 3 max in red with over 10 different offensive blades. Very good overall rubber, its NEGH1 cake sponge is an easy cheap performant rubber, good fit with carbon blades. Too bad it does not come in pro version in red as the rxton 3 pro only exists in black! What is the equivalent to remain with NEGH1 cake sponge ?

I have a Yinhe Pro-05 blade, on the open side I installed the new version of Loki Kirin K5, and for a long time I was looking for a universal rubber for the closed side, and Loki Rxton 3 Black suited me perfectly. The Rxton 3 rubber deceives the opponent perfectly, like the Stiga Airoc rubber.

For FH this kind of has speed but only if you have off+ blade. Spin is nice on serves and control is great. A cheap, easy rubber.
