Official Discription:
The new technology of new products.
It is a new generation of Inner – Explosion “ divel †rubber with sponge developed for the new type of Water Based Glue, adopted the latest Inner – Explosion technologies.
It’s characters: super spin & speed , easy control & has sufficient elasticity with super offense.
Use this tacky rubber for fh (black) on cpen blade Yinhe T-8. After 2 months, tackiness worn out.
Now use it as backhand rubber, not tacky anymore.
Speed is better than moon, but control is worse. Spin will be better when it was tacky.
super tackyyyy!! good for services, but very sensitive for returns. loops deadly, in a high throw. and very durable. only con is its quite heavy if played in BH. FH suited
Great forehand rubber. Serving spin is great. Topspin drive is great. Loop is great. It allows my forehand to be magical!
Just recently experimented with H2, Beijing3, Venus2, and 729 Original on my forehand. All good Chinese topspin rubbers, but old faithful for me is Tuttle's Beijing III.
Whether I hit brush the ball, drive it, or hit it, I get the feeling that I "grab" it and fully control it. To me, it magically feels like I'm grabbing the ball and throwing it however I want!
Durable too. After 13 months, the same sheet hits great, and it's still tacky enough to lift the ball straight off the table.
This rubber is not "medium" in sponge hardness. It is Chinese 39 degrees. So, it is fairly firm.
***I actually meant to review the tuned version****
I have not tried to untuned version please remove this review.
Having just tried the Blue Whale aprox 1 month ago. I have to say, the description about this rubber being like Haifu Blue Whale 2 is very accurate! I got the factory Tuned version from TTNPP and it plays very well. it is slightly softer and slower than Haifu. But still plenty of power for me. Blocking is definitely good, fast and controllable, better than Hurricane, my normal forehand rubber. Also much more power and control when doing loops. Here is to hopping that it doesn't poop out like Haifu does after 2 weeks. Definately worth trying if you like Haifu. I'd switch to this from hurricane if I knew it would last.
