Xiom Vega Asia with Dynamic Friction technology. Firm and solid grip on plastic ball, improved spin dynamics with plastic ball. The sponge of Vega Asia DF feels softer comparing to original Vega Asia. DYNAMIC FRICTION for plastic balls against slipperiness Unprecedented control and extreme angle shots Added Dynamic Friction on the best Speed of VEGA ASIA
Nice, quite light rubber, in max cutted about 44 grams, not super fast and ultra spinny-but with great touch and control, little softish than medium hard, for developing players highly recommended.
Based on the reviews about this rubber on many sites, I was encouraged to buy a set of them, but they turned out to be slightly disappointing for me. The main reason is: this rubber is heavily boosted, and the boosting effect depletes noticeably even in a comparison of about 3 months difference - otherwise the rubber is relatively sturdy, but the topsheet does not look like to be particularly long lasting (I expect a loss of grip after some usage). In its brand new state, the rubber is very bouncy, so it is difficult to play precise with it near the table, it plays better around 2-4 steps away. It is easy to produce very spinny balls, but the produced trajectories are fairly low because of the high base level of catapult and the topsheet pimple arrangement (sparse and thin), even when the stroke was rather a brush loop and not a powerful loop - this also results in an increased probability of balls going too long. Despite the bounciness, this rubber definitely lacks a top gear. The rubber is easily penetreted on harder impacts (the topsheet is thick, but fairly soft), making some difficulties in finding the proper stroke, while the tension effect lasts (it is much more controllable later). After 3 months of sparse usage, I noticed a significant reduction in bounciness, making the rubber definitely more tamed, but the ball spinning ability has been also slightly decreased. From the 5. month, I can notice no further changes in the rubber's playing properties. Boosting effect depletion can be also noticed by visual inspection - horizontal topsheet shrinkage around the edge of the bat (and thus, raised edge). On the bright side, this rubber is very lightweight, and if you plan to wear out the rubber surface faster than the boosting effect depletes, it can even be a good choice, if you need a fast, low throw rubber (many hours training per week, thus frequent rubber replacements) - and later, it can be used as a control rubber with medium throw.
Tensor rubber. i am using it for 3 monts.
With proper techique you can produce very nice speed.
Very direct angle, not too bouncy on short game, very nice for smashing.
Very nice sound (like speed glue).
It is light rubber, nice for me.
spiny and nice for backspin lift.
Doesnt chip and topshet is durable.
In my country costs 30 euro and it is good value for the money.
After putting Omega V Europe on FH I was looking for something similar for BH but with softer sponge. Although name Asia could confuse many, including me, I was conviced it is not like old Vega regarding sponge hardness, so I decided to give it a chance. Bingo! 42.5 degrees suits perfect for my technic on BH. It has a little bit harder rubber surface which I did not like at a beginning, but after a few sessions I got used to it. With this rubber a bit higher brush is needed to produce a good spin. There is no room for a mistake, but if done correct you will be rewarded with dangerous spin. Arc is lower i more direct than rubbers I tried so far. Speed is very high, but not to high. Control is great. Since I had only 2-3 sessions this is just a first impressions. I will update a review after month or two. For now, great rubber for plastic balls.
