About Me
I've played TT for basically all my life (several decades), just terribly for most of it. I was naturally very good, with poor form, but I've sorted that out this last decade :).I'm a dad and engineer..
Overall, I'm enjoying TT more than ever before at the moment, and I'm intent on playing consistently in 2024, hopefully, at a locally competitive club level before the start of 2025.
Playing Style
As a kid/teenager, I spent more than a decade playing "all the topspin, all the time", but with footwork as though I was standing in wet concrete...Late into university, I sorted out my FH drive, developed a decent block (but even today, my push is still average), and at 6"4, I have decent reach (it was at around this time that I bought a 729 Bomb with GeoSpin Tack 2mm on both sides).
I also learned to actually move my feet at uni...
There has been a table at the last two jobs I've had, and some decent players, too (several club level). So I've managed to work on good form, big loops, better footwork and some touch game, to the point where I'm both the trainer and supplier of all the bats (I order them to suit their skill level).
