About Me
I've been playing in the Japan League and the Tokyo Open. I first started table tennis in 1980, when I was six years old, and later got into speed glue. After a 20-year break, I picked it up again in Japan. The game had changed a lot—technology evolved, and I had to adapt. It's now a more physical sport, especially with the introduction of the larger ball, which also changed the trajectory of shots.
Choosing the right blade and rubber combination has become more important, and it really depends on your physical condition. Many reviewers praise hard rubbers as being fantastic—and they are—but at 50 years old, without the training of a pro, using hard rubbers can be physically demanding. So I focus on finding combinations that suit my level and don’t put unnecessary strain on the body.
Playing Style
offensive / all-round. I play with Amultart + T05 for short game and mid distance. The felling is amazing and it is super fast. It is good for smash also. But, I have some difficulties to control (block) so I alternate with other blades (TB ALC, Harimoto super ALC, Viscaria, Viscaria super ALC, ...) to keep the total weight < 185g. So sometimes, I can try hard rubbers which are usually heavy (except D09C 2.1 which is only ~48g)
