About Me

I started to play TT about 10 years ago. I go to tournaments often these days to play, watch, and record matches. I am also a very good scorekeeper.

Playing Style

I am a right-handed shakehanded modern defender. I now play European Tensor rubbers on my fh and Japanese long pips with sponge on my bh. I modeled my game after Chen Weixing.

Tournament Victories

Champion
Category: Under 1500 rating
Tournament: Cedar Rapids Inaugural Open
August 2016
Notes: I came in to U1400 as a very high seed with the expectation to win that event. However, there was an underrated player in my group to cause an upset. Therefore, I put all my effort in the U1500 event the next day. Even though there was only 6 players in that event and I was the no. 1 seed, it wasn't easy. In my group, the other 2 guys have half anti and short pips for their bh. I fought my way to the final and faced a cpen looper who I lost to badly couple years ago. To my surprise, I murdered him with lobs!
2nd Place
Category: Division 6
Tournament: America's Team Championship
May 2016
Notes: Our team was the second seed, and the first seed was very underrated. We could easily fall out of the top 3. We had 2 good players who were in the 1700's, but it is safe to safe both of them were overrated. The rest 3 (including me) were around 1000, but we are really like 1400-1500. We got a lot of "cheap wins" this way. I didn't play against the top 3 teams, but I definitely contributed in a big way.

Notes: I know I was very underrated (595), so this one was easy.

Tournament: Minnesota Open
April 2016
Notes: This one was very tough. I won the final 3-2 to a player/friend who is better than me. I came back from 5-9 to win 11-9 in the fifth. I used my timeout at 8-8 to win the fourth to tie the match at 2-2.

Category: Under 3000 doubles
Tournament: Minnesota Open
April 2016
Notes: My doubles partner was Kris Sabas, who was a very good player. All I need to do was serve and get the ball back with push or block. I did made some very good shots though. I also want to mention I was very underrated going into this tournament (595).
