The JOOLA Toni Hold White Spot defensive blade has been manufactured for years without needing any changes. This table tennis blade provides total control through the soft and elastic poplar veneers. The Toni Hold White Spot is ideal in combination with anti rubbers. This blade is only available with a straight handle style.
In fact there are two models of this legendary blade. The Toni Hold and the Toni Hold white spot. The difference is that the Toni Hold has 5 plies of cottonwood while the Toni Hold white spot has 5 plies of poplar. (according to Joola) Both trees are related (same family - populus) but i feel that cottonwood is slightly stiffer. I have both blades and i can notice some difference. The cottonwood feels a tiny bit faster. This is in my opinion an allround- or an defence+ blade, While the white spot is purely a defensive blade. Both blades are slightly oversized but not as much as for example the joo se hyuk. They both are quality defensive blades but i like the cottonwood version most because it is a little bit easier to counter attack.
Super control is the key word here and it is on even all shots. Both with my backhand with LP (Tibhar graas Dtecs) on and my forehand with a speedy and spinny rubber on (Adidas P7). IF You seek a blade with the Best control this is one of the best, and a super Price to ;-)
its maybe the best blade i have ever had.you put the long pips on the backhand and some inverted on forehand then you have pingpong racket on your hand they call it just control.send ball wherever you want.make them cry, trust me after while most of the club member dont wanna play with you.same thing happened to me so bad hahahaha
