I am rating the blue sponge version of this. I used an original black sponge version a number of years ago and was not impressed at that time. On the galaxy LQ-1 defensive blade on my FH this plays like a poor man's razka 7. Very good control, more than adequate attacking power. Chops better than razka 7 however. It is totally non-tacky. It is a little dirty looking and not as translucent as euro-jap rubbers but play is excellent. It I was not such an EJ I could easily be satisfied with this on my FH side. It will be interesting to see how long it lasts.

I've been using black power on my forehand for 4 months and it has been very disappointing. The spin is almost none existent. My playing partner couldn't believe how much effort you had to put in to get any spin out of the rubber. The speed is okay and the throw is low so the rubber is perfect for blocking. You might as well forget looping with this rubber.

Good backhand rubber. Hard sponge with slightly tacky topsheet, but not like Hurricane series that needs breaking in. This played well straight away. Very good power for backhand drives close to table and mid distance looping on fast blades. Spin for serving is excellent. Short game is good with reasonable control but must play the shot correctly, the throw is quite low. This is an amazing rubber for the price!

Good rubber but no more. Don't buy it but if you can get one don't refuse it.

Really nice quality LKT rubber. Looks well made, good price, faster than the last generation of LKT hard-sponged rubbers. Black sponge looks cool, loads of spin from topsheet. Probably still not quite fast enough for mid-distance play. A good alternative to Neo H3. Added note - after attempting to remove from blade, the sponge crumbled and ripped. If you plan on swapping between blades a lot - beware!
