I've recently been experimenting with soft tacky Chinese rubbers. I feel this rubber is very similar to Hurricane 3-50. Both speed and spin are slightly less than H3-50, but control is better. But this rubber is like half the price of H3-50, so I'd say this rubber is definitely better value. I feel the topsheet of rapid sound is slightly thicker than H3-50 and less tacky, so it's less responsive, which is not necessarily a bad thing. This depends on your personal preference. Overall a great rubber at low price. If you like tacky Chinese rubbers, but feel like they are too hard for carbon blades, I suggest you try this one. There is more than enough speed and control to win points, and the spin is crazy like all tacky Chinese rubbers.

First of all, really good build quality for this rubber, especially considering its price. I've used it on different blades (mainly OFF-), in 2.2mm then in 2.0mm. This rubber is slightly tacky, and allows to generate a good amount of spin for me, be that in game or for serving. It is quite dynamic for a Chinese rubber, not too hard to adjust even if you're used to European rubbers as I was. The hardness feels medium, I'd say around 37-38° (it seems to depend a lot on the blade you glue it onto : felt really hard on my Stiga OC, but it's alright on my Waldner Senso and Diablo senso blades that are softer). I like it a lot as it's really versatile, pretty good for controled offensive play : it's not that fast but offers a really good control and allows to generate an interesting amount of spin. As someone already said, it might not be a "killer-rubber", but really does everything well. To sum things up, it's a good, versatile and not too expensive off- rubber, I think it's really interesting for young and off-/all+ players who like to develop a versatile offensive play (but leaning toward controlled topspin play). If your play is more blocking, flat-hitting and choping, then you might be interested in testing the LKT Rapid Speed.

If you want to play block, chop and hitting, try LKT Sound on a hard blade with a carbon, such as GALAXY T11+. I tried a SOFT SOUND and SPEED on this blade. The best unit and the control LKT Sound.

Beautiful rubber :) !!! Just a joy to play with. I have it on a 5 ply blade (All + or Off -) with some flex to it and this rubber is a perfect compliment to it. I wont go in much details here about spin, speed and so on ratings on DB appear reasonable to me. All is there basically with huge amount of control. Every single ball goes back to the table. Placement of the long or short ball is effortless. When you go in a hard exchange it is very easy to slow the exchange down or to change landing corner in a split second, it is hard to believe. Usually it takes me at least one practice to get full grip on a rubber but with LKT Sound it took me one hit. As if i played my whole life with it, which is bizarre since i play FH with H3 or TG3 normally or some silly fast tensor and this rubber is nothing like those. It lacks some speed (have to mention that) but control more then compensates. Highly recommended to all players (well maybe not for tournaments due to speed limitation). Enjoy life, play TT :).
