Review for TB4 36 hardens @ max. Physical properties: Comes in a vacuum pack with nice paper wrap around. Very well designed packaging. Rubber has sort of a light yellowish sponge (almost white but not quite). On the red sheets be prepared to get a translucent top sheet. Easy to see pips inside. Pips appear to be slightly bigger then average. Slightly taller pips then you would find on typical Chinese rubber. At 36 degrees my rubbers do not feel soft at all. That was a big surprise for me honestly since many people say this is one of the softest rubbers around. Actually it feels only slightly softer then Tenergy 05 along the lines of Tenergy 64 or couple degrees harder then Xiom Vega Euro. Rubber is also bit tacky. It can pick up the ball and hold it for a second or maybe less. It is very easy to spot grippinnes of the top sheet too. Spin: Rubber produces good amount of spin with ease. Comparable to Vega Europe. I gave it a few shots on FH but mainly i used sheets on my BH. Lifting under spin serves with a flick is easy. Mid distance shots have also good amount of spin on them and again those shots do not require a lot of effort with this rubber. Shots go deep and nose dive at the end of the table. Under spin in short game was ok but i am not the guy who should rate rubber for these kind of shots anyway (it will work ok for defense if you are purely attacking player). Speed: Ok not the Hercules in this department but sufficient speed to finish off any point. One really can not compare this to tensors like Sigma II or Tenergy 64 and so on but in terms of classical rubbers faster then Mark and Sriver. I honestly cant say rubber bottoms out on my BH but professional players may need something faster. It is not as bouncy as tensor rubbers nor dead like classical Chinese rubbers but something in between. Control: If i was a sales man this would be mine sales point of this rubber. Simply amazing control on every possible shot you can make in TT. I am not much of a defender but i am able to chop with moderate amount of precision and block as well. It is a rubber that i was able to get used to in firs 5 min of play. Recommendation: Well, honestly i would recommend this to anybody on BH but on FH also. Unless you are trying to make the Olympic team for your country this rubber will meat your needs. Best of luck and enjoy TT :)

Its a good rubber. If i were to reccomend this product to anyb table tennis player, I'd probably reccomend this rubber to a beginner. Its good to get down stroke mechanics, and good to improve your game. But for tournament play, this isn't the rubber for you. Spin Due to the soft sponge you can really dig the ball deep into the rubber which produces some decent spin. The rubber isn't very tacky so your not going to get as much spin as some chinese rubbers. So spin is decent with this rubber. Speed Since the sponge like I said is buttery soft, and the top sheet is buttery soft. You're not going to get alot of speed with this rubber. Honestly its one of the slowest rubbers i've ever played with. Control This is the selling point of this rubber. This rubber has so much control. If you like control this is the rubber for you. It is a beautiful symphony how well the control is with this rubber. In my iopnion it has more control than the Yasaka MK V rubber. The Tuttle Beiijing 4 rubber has excellent control. Touch shots Good touch shots. But not spectacular. Overall Great rubber, also its very cheap!

Very, highly, extremely soft sponged rubber with soft topsheet. Makes the loudest sound on hard hits you have ever heard. Bottoms out easily. Fast-ish, without being all out quick. Very linear power delivery in most shots, hardly any low-speed bounciness, but lacks a really fast top gear. Excellent for blocking, driving, hitting. Surprisingly great for chopping, with a very low, skidding arc. Not brilliant for spin, so looping is less dangerous than a lot of modern rubbers. Plays well over the table, not so effective from distance. A great backhand choice, really cheap so incredible value for money. If you like soft sponged, mechanical spin rubbers, this is worth a try.

There seem to be some variations in the consistency of that rubber. My Beijing IV 2,2mm is about 5 grams heavier than my rubbers are in average (cutted). The topsheet is quite soft, but the sponge is nearly medium, not soft at all. Now with harder sponge the rubber should be a little bit faster than it's rated here with softer sponge. But my Beijing IV is also slower than my CTT Nat. Hero, maybe as fast as the CTT Nat. Strike, (which is about 15 grams lighter than my Beijing 4). Spin is pretty good, but not overwhelming, not better than other slightly tacky rubbers (what the Beijing 4 is). So, I'm a bit disappointed by the Beijing 4, because it's neither soft nor light nor as fast as I expected.
