Andro Roxon 330
Review of Andro Roxon 330Physical:Light colored sponge on a very soft top sheet. Very low weight rubber. It is grippy rubber, no tack at all. Comes very well packed and it has ESN tensor sign on it. Spin: As with most soft rubbers spin at low swing speeds is very good. You don€™t have to work hard to open up the game after harder back spin. Grippy top sheet helps you lift with ease with just a flick of a wrist. Spin is by far the best in opening loops, slow spinney loops and controlled close to the table loops. As you increase you swing speed and as you increase distance from the table spin, as with most soft rubbers, diminishes rapidly. Speed and control: Again close to the table rubber really shines in most departments but as you go back you lose some of the goodies. Rubber provides you with solid speed and amazing control on blocks. Flicks also have some serious speed on them because you can€™t deform it all the way on those shots. Placement of the flicks is also very good. Recommendation: First of all I would recommend this rubber on BH side mostly. I would recommend it to developing players and recreational players. If you are aged between 10 to 15 then this may be just the right tool for you and may help you with control and speed due to limited swing speed at that age. Have fun and enjoy TT. Andro Plasma 380
Review of Andro Plasma 380Physical:Very soft rubber, red sheet comes with orange sponge. It looks quality like most esn products. Sponge has some pores on it but they are not large. It I light rubber also with high grip and no tack. Pack is ok, class below Xiom maybe even two classes. Spin: Solid spin on openers. It is very easy to do slow spinney opening loop versus serve or longer push. As you go back off the table more effort is needed but nothing to worry about unless you play at very high level. Speed: On a slower side here. It is not bouncy even on over the table shoots. Off the table you need some body to finish off the point. All in all sort of an all-round attacking speed, best used to set up big shot with FH then to try to dominate with the sheer speed. Control, throw angle and other: Control is very high. It is not bouncy rubber and since it is very slow and soft placement with spin is superb. Throw angle for me was on a low side but I am used to much harder sharper rubbers so maybe others would find it different. Recommendation: To all developing players who work on placement and lifting under spin to set up their attack. I would also recommend it to players who like to control points instead of overpowering their opponents. Best of all to you all and have fun playing. Sep 29, 2014

Andro Rasanter R37
Review of Andro Rasanter R37Physical:well packaged in typical “modern” rubber style. Rubber has a softer feel to it. Top sheet is very thin with very short pips. It is extremely grippy, like most of the stuff getting out of ESN these days. It even has minor tackiness to it. Speed: very good speed in terms of mid distance play, and general blocking game. If you go very far away from the table, some that speed fades due to rubber being soft on very hard hits, but if you keep your power at medium than you do retail speed and control. Spin: very high with lower impact swings. One of the better spinning euro rubbers at mid distance and mid power of swing. It is not an ideal rubber for a 3rd ball attack, but again for mid distance rubber is fantastic. Recommendation: this would be recommended as a BH rubber to almost all control players who play one or two meters away and do not have extreme power hits. The way I would think about this is: mid distance and mid power perfection. Heavy FH loopers as well as extreme flick players could benefit more from some other rubbers Have fun and enjoy TT!!! Butterfly Tenergy 05
Review of Butterfly Tenergy 05Zillion reviews on this rubber at this point in time. When it first hit the market (think around 2009 early on...) it had WOW factor to it definitely. It was the best tension rubber by a mile. Times have changed since those days. Now days we have many rubbers with similar performance and many with better performance. Most companies can produce high end rubbers now days in there own way and style. Some produce hi speed tensors, some produce hi spin tacky rubbers, mixtures of those two and many other top performers. Today is more of a price question then anything else for me. It is very hard to justify any Tenergy prices at this point. Xiom, Stiga, Tibhar and so on produce just as good or even better rubbers then Tenergy at half of the price. If BTY was not such a huge company i am not sure if those prices would hold at all. Plz do not get me wrong in regards to Tenergy. This rubber is phenomenal to play with. In a way it is a another classic (Sriver, Mark, Hurricane....). So to sum it up : Pros: one of the better performing rubbers on the market (in all aspects). Cons: you can get better rubber for less money. Recommendations: I would recommend this rubber to the players that dont have to buy sheets themselves. I would also recommend this to a time travelers who can go back to 2009 or so and be the first in line to have the playing edge without glue. Definitely would not recommend this rubber any more to people who actually have to purchase their own sheets. Enjoy TT and have fun:) Nov 05, 2013

Butterfly Sriver
Review of Butterfly SriverBack in a day, in early 90s when i was starting out this was the rubber to have.Living in a small town i had no access to any other rubber but this. Sriver was my TT family basically. There was no internet to buy from China :). For a 4th grader this was as cool as it gonna get in TT. When i would get a new sheet from my parents i thought i was the king of the world!!! Well since we were not the richest family i was king of the world maybe once per year or so :). Many years have passed since 90s and i dont see myself using Sriver anymore but this rubber still holds special place in my heart. Pros: Rubber has no weak areas of play. Solid all around rubber at this time of age. Cons: Bizarrely expensive 25$-30$ per sheet for a dinosaur of a rubber. I would not recommend this rubber to anybody anymore. Many say it is one of the best beginners rubbers but i think there are many better (yasaka Zap Bio, Palio CJ 8000 Bio and so on) for the fraction of the price. I do understand that "new" rubbers like Zap or CJ have better performance then Sriver but so do "new" beginners then beginners in my time. Have fun playing TT and be happy :). Butterfly Solcion
Review of Butterfly SolcionGood overall rubber for all-round play.Physical: Very soft rubber, one of the softest BTW rubbers around. Sponge is light with some kick in it. Top sheet looks grippy and it has no tack what so ever. Rubber does not weigh a lot (measured in hand only), and it comes nicely packed as most BTW rubbers. Spin: Very good close to the table. You can deform sponge with ease producing mad rotation. Openers or slow spinney loops are very effective. If you back away from the table then at higher speeds ball penetrates too much so you can lose some spin. Speed: Not a very bouncy rubber, speed from normal distance 1-2m is ok and ok only. Openers can be very fast if you can swing that hard. Far from the table one can notice significant drop in speed... Rubber will be loud also at harder swings. At the higher level of play it gets sort of hard to out nuke your opponent from distance. Recommendation: Recommended to control players at all levels, well maybe not for higher levels. If you like to outlast your opponents then give this rubber a go, but if you are more of a physical player then it may be better to go for something else. Price, as with all BTW products, is an issue. There are a lot of rubber at 15$ which play very similar to this rubber so€¦ Best of all felaz and enjoy TT. Aug 31, 2014

Butterfly Flextra
Review of Butterfly FlextraPhysical:Typical Butterfly packing with paper protection over rubber. Not classy like Xiom but ok. Rubber has soft sponge which is light orange and pink in color, relatively porous. Overall rubber has a very light and grippy feel to it. Spin and speed: Well ok… no much to be honest here. This rubber, in my opinion, is made for recreational player or very beginner in TT. As far as I know it goes with some Butterfly premade paddles. Don’t get me wrong please you can still play with this rubber but for example I would consider Palio CJ 8000 much more serious rubber then Flextra. There is some spin and speed still. Grip on the top sheet is very good. Who should use this: If you want to get your kid into TT then you can put this on his or hers paddle, if you play once per month you can put it on your paddle… I think you get the picture here. Have fun and enjoy TT. Feb 24, 2016

Butterfly Sriver G3 FX
Review of Butterfly Sriver G3 FXPhysical:As typical BTY packaging as you are going to get. Protective paper over rubber. Rubber is very soft with dark yellow sponge. Ok size pores on the sponge. Spin and speed: This was a pleasant surprise to me. From ratings I did not expect much out of this rubber but I must say this is not much short from T64 fx. Trajectory is crazy long as with a lot of BTY rubbers in modern era. Rubber grips the ball well and it will curve it down to the table near the edge of table. Spin is much better than I expected reading other ratings and so is speed. Blocking and quick BH action goes very nice with very little effort. I am not sure if top sheet of this rubber has any difference regarding tension and chemical composition to T64. G3 fx is very high tension top sheet, and like the rest of the tenergies it will go bit harder over time. Who should use this: This product has some price on it so I would not recommend it for beginners. Since rubber is fast and soft I think a lot of Euro players may like it on BH. If you really like control I guess you can go to FH with it but it does not have that typical FH rubber sharpness. If you are average club player chances are you will be happy with this rubber. Have fun and enjoy TT. Feb 24, 2016

Darker VLON-S Blue V
Review of Darker VLON-S Blue VReview for Darker Vlon blue sponge @ max.Physical properties: Rubber comes in a standard pack with paper and plastic around it. It has a firm top sheet on a nice looking blue sponge. If there was no brand printed on it, one could easily say this looks the same as DHS blue sponge rubbers. Rubber is tacky, and top sheet looks very well produced. Sponge feels hard, for a purpose of comparison maybe 40 or 41 degree DHS scale. Control: Personally I would say this rubber is for active players who play tournaments and train hard every day. Judging throw angle is a bit difficult. It appears to be lower at slow speeds and higher in faster game. Without the ability to judge throw angle in a good way I am stuck with some control issues. Speed and spin: These two are very much connected to the control of this rubber. On a slow shots rubber produces ok speed and spin, but when you go harder it is almost hard to believe. There is no way to bottom out this beast. On smashes and hard loops it is even faster than H3 Neo. All in all if I could play as if I was 20 years old this would be perfect rubber, but nowadays to get the most out of this monster I would probably get heart attack. Recommendation: Highly recommended for experienced, active, agile club players and above. People who like to go all out and don€™t mind swinging hard all the time. If you are beginner, defender, bit older or anything else please stay away from this or you will feel like average Joe in Formula 1 car going 50 mph and thinking you are amazing ïŠ. Enjoy life and TT! Feb 12, 2014

DHS NEO Hurricane 2
Review of DHS NEO Hurricane 2Came back to Neo H2 after about 1.5 of playing with tensors on BH. Love at the first sight again :).Reason i picked up tensors is my age actually. I was getting bit tired of swinging all the time and tensors did help good amount in that department. H2 in any sponge is no where near as bouncy as tensors or "automatic" from mid distance but that does not mean it is slow. Fast and bouncy are not the same terms when speaking about rubbers. H2 is rubber with insane amount of spin. Flicking serves is so easy, it feels like cheating actually. Tack helps bunch with close to the table shots. It lasts a long time, spins great, it has amazing speed, low throw .... basically all you can ask for perfect BH rubber. Most of it is already explained in reviews so no point doing it over again:) Highly recommended rubber for anybody!!! One of the best ever in my opinion. Enjoy TT and have fun :) Nov 06, 2013

DHS NEO Skyline 3 TG3
Review of DHS NEO Skyline 3 TG3O boy !!!As expected from other reviews some like it some not. This is my favorite rubber. I use it on FH only. It is a very hard DHS rubber with some tack on it. Quality of the rubber (i use only black) has been great so far. All the sheets were good. This rubber is very unique. For many people it will be ok spinney close to the table but dead and inconsistent away from the table. Sponge is very hard and there is not much tack on the top sheet to produce super spin when you play close, so reasoning of many players is great. They are correct. Most of the humans don't have fitness level of Ma Long, Ma Lin, Timo and others.... Reason why i am giving such a good grades to this rubber is my physical play away from the table. Basically my whole TT game is based on super heavy (very fast and spinney) loop drives 3 - 5 meter away. At lower speeds rubber play ok, nothing special basically. Control is good, spin is ok, one can block with it and serve with it good. So this is why i would say Gears = Average. Tack plays some role here but there is no sponge influence (well not much influence to be more precise). When you go back more then 2 meters and hits become harder deformation will kick in, and tack influence will diminish. Spin will increase significantly and throw angle will be reduced (slightly). Will still remain high but just not as high. To some players this can be a control problem, others will find it good for the pace. So basically faster you go with this rubber better it will play. There is no way to bottom out sponge nor to break the grip at super high speed. Recommendation: High recommendation for a players who put their whole body in the swing, players that are young and strong, players who have well over 5 years of quality training under their belts and so on... you get the picture. Not recommended to players who like to defend, control, older players (please do not get this in offensive way, i mean nothing bad), beginners, players with some type of physical disabilities and so on.... I wish you all the best, and i hope this helps. Enjoy your game of TT and have fun :) Aug 18, 2013

DHS NEO Skyline 2 TG2
Review of DHS NEO Skyline 2 TG2Many reviews out there so need to go in details.I agree with the extreme spin of the rubber and high control, but disagree with the speed rating. For me this is very fast rubber if used properly like any other dhs Neo sponge rubber. Bit easier to use on BH then H2 Neo but maybe not as effective, it is slower then H2 and has higher throw. Tensors tend to be much easier to play then this especially on BH side so choose wisely :). All in all another big gun from DHS requiring some skill to use to get most out of it. I would recommend this rubber to all with 1+ years of xp in table tennis as a FH or a BH rubber depending on a throw preference. Requires physical play. Enjoy TT, have fun :) Oct 26, 2013

Review of DHS NEO Hurricane 3Loop monster by DHS.Super fast and spinney. Top gear amazing but can lack a bit in medium gear where tensors are better due to technology. All the rest is said about this rubber no need for looooong review. One of my favorite rubbers on FH next to TG3 on any type of sponge (Neo, Blue, Old glue sponge and so on....) DHS NEO Hurricane 3 Provincial (Orange Sponge)
Review of DHS NEO Hurricane 3 Provincial (Orange Sponge)In my mind it is the same rubber like regular H3 Neo orange sponge. Maybe if you are way better player then i am you may be able to tell the difference but sure as hell not on my level.I can easily tell the difference between #19, #20, blue neo sponge but cant tell this one from regular orange neo. All in all great rubber but if you have to buy rubbers, like i do, i would not recommend this version over regular which costs 20$. Same goes for the national version of this rubber... Enjoy TT and have fun. Mar 25, 2014

DHS Hurricane 3-50
Review of DHS Hurricane 3-50Review based on 1 black sheet of rubber only.First of all Andy Smith did an excellent review on H3 50. I agree with most of the points Andy made. Not much point in reviewing this rubber in terms of spin, speed and control since it is very similar to H3N just softer a bit so aforementioned attributes should be very similar to H3N. If you like a strong FH rubber like Neo then this will be step down from it. On the other hand lets say you are the user of hmmm Baracuda Donic you may be able to switch to something like H3 50. You may gain some control but lose off the table bounce which tensors give you. If you are trying to change from euro rubbers because they do not compliment your FH or you have difficulties hitting the table with good consistency then this may be a good crossing rubber for you. On the other hand if you are a higher end player maybe give it a go on BH side, it will provide you with Ok bounce and solid spin. Personally I don't see myself as loyal customer to DHS when it comes to H3 50 because I do not see where additional 10 bucks go comparing it with H3N but you as different player may feel different and realize something I could not. At the end of the day most of rubbers have similar performance we are judging by personal preference and feel. Hope this helps felaz, have fun all the time and enjoy life. Donic Traction MS Soft
Review of Donic Traction MS SoftGot this rubber as a gift and was not expecting much out of it. I cut it up, glued it on the blade and wooo hooo was i wrong or what.Physical: Not to soft, sort of just bit softer then medium rubber. Slightly tacky top sheet which is nice but cant really hold the ball up side down. Bit uneven surface for enhanced grip also added. Control: Great :) Just amazing!!! I was so pleased with the feel and still am. Usually i struggle in short game because soft tension rubbers can be bouncy but this is not that way at all. Speed: About the same as T64 regular sponge or just above Vega Euro. It has much slower over the table game then those two rubbers. Spin: Enough from close to the table, outstanding from mid distance and ok from far away. Maybe if sponge was bit harder it would be better from far away. Recommendation: To most players but absolute beginners. I think for some reason one can use this for technique correction since it can provide ok amount of feedback to the hand. Have fun, hope this helps :) Mar 04, 2014

Donic Baracuda
Review of Donic BaracudaVery good product by Donic (ESN). Like most ESN products all is there and most of it has been told about this rubber on DB. Only thing i don't agree with is speed. I find it to be sort of fast like most modern rubbers. At least 9.1 or something around that.Have fun! Nov 06, 2014

Donic Bluestorm Z2
Review of Donic Bluestorm Z2Physical:rubber is presented as medium hardness but I think of it as medium going to hard. Top sheet has typical height of pips. It is durable rubber for ESN product. Most of ESN durability has been approved in last 5 years or so. No resemblance to older tensors which if you buy soft could die in a month or so. Speed: this rubber is really fast. Would not count much on typical midrange series safety to it. As Z2, midpoint between Z1 and Z3 you would expect some margin for error but in my opinion this is fast. You can go away from the table as much as you want, and most likely you won’t lack power with this. Honestly I find it a bit too fast for me. Spin: a bit tricky topic with this rubber. Since I find this rubber to be fast, spin is very good when you manage to hit with reasonable amount of force, but if you don’t execute full stroke or you put less power spin is not amazing. It is not easy to dig into the sponge with mediocre swing and rubber is not tacky so top sheet won’t do all the work for you. If you have very solid technique, you can rip very hard 3rd ball attack and make it spinney but again you have to make a solid hit. All in all, spin is there, but requires higher level of skill and confidence in the shot. Recommendation: this rubber I would only recommend to club players, who are ok controlling rubbers like T05 and such. On the other hand if you are blocker on BH, this could very well work just fine. If you like to drive on counter mainly on FH this could be a consideration as well. Have fun and enjoy TT. Oct 06, 2023

Gambler Outlaw (Tuned)
Review of Gambler Outlaw (Tuned)You guys are lot better off buying toilet paper then this!!!! If nothing it last longer then this rubber, well actually let me take that back. Toilet paper and Outlaw Gambler last about the same (one use only!!!).Worse rubber i used in last 10 years or so. No spin, ok speed, no control because it lacks so much spin... It has no tack, no grip, no nothing... John Gotti was better of with nickname Gambler Outlaw Boss instead of Teflon Boss. Nothing could stick to him, or if it did stick by some random cosmic event it would not have enough grip and drag to take him down. So i guess if you are mobster or king pin this rubber is great for your nickname, but TT player stay away from this please!! Extremely overpriced at 15$, unbelievable QC issues, .... Sorry for trashing on DB but i feel obligated to give honest opinion. Enjoy life and have fun playing TT. Dec 20, 2013

Haifu Blue Whale
Review of Haifu Blue WhaleReview for BWI at max, plain plastic vacuum wrap (training pack). This is my first time playing with Haifu rubber. I got it from Eacheng Whale 1 (think it is a training version). Sheet was only vacuumed in transparent plastic, but it was factory tuned. Physical: Somewhat tacky rubber, nothing like DHS tackiness but noticeable. It won€™t pick up the ball for more than a split of a second. Rubber has a very thick top sheet with orange sponge. Pips are short, very short tbh but top of the sheet is at least 1,5 mm thick. One of the thickest I have seen. Sponge has some pores but nothing like Tenergy and it has super glossy tuning on it. Never seen shinier glue on pre tuned rubber, like a hockey field for ants. Top sheet also looks like a mixture of Galaxy Moon and H3 (grip + tack) Speed: Would like to do the comparison with H3 in terms of speed. H3 is less bouncy, not by much but less bouncy. There is a mild difference in a short game speed (probably only preference) but the true difference lies in a mid-distance. For some reason it is much easier to produce speed with BW1 on shots coming from 1-2 meters away. Top speed is about the same both are super-fast if you are accustomed to those kinds of rubber (some people will find it slow from distance) Spin: The best spin, at least for my game, was from mid distance with some power in the stroke. Must say that it was probably better then H3 spin for those shots because sponge was easier to engage. Spin on serves, harder loops, short game was like any other good rubber. Other: Throw angel is on a higher side, so rubber is very good for off the table game. Sponge overall is lot easier to use then DHS neo sponge. I expected control to be on a low side but was pleasantly surprised in that department. It was very easy to maintain control in FH to FH relies. Recommendation: To all the player who like harder Chinese rubbers on FH and like to swing. Enjoy TT+life, have fun. Apr 15, 2014

Haifu White Shark II (2) (Tuned)
Review of Haifu White Shark II (2) (Tuned)Review for Shark 2 (yellow sponge) hard @ max, tuned.Disclaimer: One of the rubbers I found very different than DB numbers so please understand that I do respect others who wrote about this rubber. After all we all write about our personal experience with the rubbers which may differ from person to person. Physical: Sheet I got was on a yellow, sort of a harder sponge (DHS 38 Neo would be my hardness guess). Top sheet is thin with slender and tall pips. It looks a lot like Xiom Sigma Euro 2 top sheet, but it is a bit harder. It was grippy and it was not tacky at all. There was a very thick layer of glue on the sponge with some plastic protection over it. Spin: I was very pleased with rubbers spin on and off the table. It felt comfortable for slow spinney loops as well as hard and fast loops. Rubber was not lacking spin even from 3m away on BH hard loops, which are usually a bit risky at my level but those hits happen. Flicks felt wicked since the feel was very direct and kick off the table was very pronounced. All in all, in my opinion this rubber delivers top performance spin wise. Speed: Surprisingly automatic for a China rubber. On blocks it felt almost like tensor of a newer generation and that was something I had to keep in mind since I normally play H2 Neo on BH. Since sponge was sort of hard I was not able to bottom out this rubber (not even close to it). Harder sponge really helps with speed so if I would buy this again I would buy hard version again. Looping (BH) from 2 m away was bliz fast and I believe that if you have better technique then I do you should not have any problems even from 4m or so. Control, throw, other€¦: Medium throw angle with medium high control. Recommendation: Rubber is not physically demanding like DHS. Lesser experienced players may even play this one on FH if they feel it compliments their game. Enjoy TT and other joys of life ïŠ. Apr 23, 2014

Haifu Blue Whale II (2) Provincial (Tuned)
Review of Haifu Blue Whale II (2) Provincial (Tuned)Ok, review for bunch of BW2 rubbers @ different hardness and sponges.Recently I bought BW1 and was very impressed with price and performance of the rubber so I decided to buy a bunch of BW2 to check out how it plays and if there is much of improvement over BW1. I got old pack (black vacuum bag), new pack (blue vacuum bag), 4 training versions (tunes and non-tuned), and new pack with pink sponge. When it comes to the color of sponge BW2 puts rainbow to shame. It comes in yellow, black, pink€¦ you name it color, tuned and non-tuned. This review will not be typical (speed, spin, bla bla€¦) because I cant tell the difference from BW1. It has the same top sheet and the sponge feels the same. Maybe there is a difference but sure as hell I cant tell. I cant even tell the difference from tuned vs non-tuned rubbers they all feel exactly the same to me. I mean there are some differences but I think that is my mind playing tricks on me. All the rubbers I got were 39-41 hardness scale. That did not make much of a difference either. Sure 39 is tad softer but can be easily ignored. Training rubbers were great. With some minor (mainly cosmetic) issues on the top sheet they played the same to the regular retail pack. On the positive side (if you like softer feel) the softest one is the pink sponge. I am not sure if in fact that is the softest sponge but feels that way to me. For detailed review you can take a look at the review I did on BW1 (it would be the same for this rubber). Recommendation: If you like physical rubbers this Whale 1 and 2 are outstanding. My advice would be to get the cheapest one you can find online, but feel free to try them all like I did and I hope you may find more differences between them then I found. Enjoy TT and life ïŠ. JOOLA Brave
Review of JOOLA BraveOk rubber by Joola and not much more.At price range of 40 to 50$ there are many, and I mean many better alternatives to this. Physical: Soft top sheet on a medium/soft sponge. Pips are slightly taller then typical. Some tack on the top sheet but not a lot (wont pick up a ball, but it is stickey). Spin: Comparable to Sriver or Mark close to the table. Off the table not much since rubber is sort of soft. Speed: Again, ok for close to the table play but you would lack much if you go back. A well not much to say else about this rubber because nothing stands out except the price 45$. Recommendation: Absolutly nobody!!! If you have to buy only thing makeing this rubber cost what it does is Joola name. At 50 $ price tag it is actualy hard to find something that performes worse in terms of spin, speed,... whole nine yards. If this rubber was priced at about 15$ then it would be ok. Enjoy TT and have happy life :) Mar 29, 2014

JOOLA Energy Green Power
Review of JOOLA Energy Green PowerPhysical:Comes ok packed like most Joola rubbers or should I say ESN rubbers. It is non-tacky rubber with mediumish feel to it. Pips look about average size and the sponge is yellowish or light green. It is a quality production rubber. Spin: Very good in my opinion. Since hardness is about medium it is very easy to loop from two meters away. It grips the ball well and curves it down to the table on low to high speeds when looping. For me it is better for higher speed loops on BH then slow looping but this is very personal so some of you may find it different. Speed: Great in this department. Drives are fast with limited swing. For super high level of TT this may be BH only rubber, but for most of us mortals this one will have more than enough speed for hard FH hits. Short game is ok as with any modern rubber, but defo not the most outstanding property. You have to be careful with the bounce. Other characteristics: About medium throw on drives. Rubber sounds ok. Very easy to block with due to the bounce and medium feel. It last ok amount of time like all ESN rubbers, nothing special. Recommendation: I would recommend this as a BH rubber for looping. If you have at least one year of training or so, this may be good alternative for you. Players lacking speed on their shots will find this rubber suitable and beneficial. Enjoy TT and have fun :) Nov 24, 2014

Kokutaku Blutenkirsche 868 Tokyo Super Tacky (yellow Pack)
Review of Kokutaku Blutenkirsche 868 Tokyo Super Tacky (yellow Pack)Packaging:Rubber comes in a plastic wrap (yellow) around the cardboard with the thin rubber protective film on the top sheet. Paper wrap, at least on the rubber I got, is in conflict with plastic wrap in terms of factory description of speed, spin and control. When you open plastic part you see paper wrap of other Kokutaku rubber so that looks a bit unprofessional. Physical: This is one of the softest rubbers around, and one of the tackiest. It is extremely soft not only for a Chinese rubber but for a Euro rubber also (softest I have ever used). Top sheet is also soft and super tacky when newly opened. It can hold ball as long as you want. In my opinion tackiest and softest rubber there is (tackier then H2 original, softer then Xiom Vega Elite€¦). Spin: Amazing up to 2 meters of the table. You can go for a loop kill when the ball is below the table€¦ 3rd ball attack is superb. Away from the table due to the soft sponge rubber bottoms out but spin remains ok. Speed: Ok close to the table, but since rubber is so ridiculously soft you can€™t generate much speed away. Other: Throw angle is about medium so rubber can be used easily on BH or FH. This is the loudest rubber I have ever seen (not used but seen!). When on FH, it produces deep click all the time, much and I mean much louder than anything else. Control is great also (one of the best next to Tuttle 4). Recommendation: Recommended to beginners and intermediate players. For advanced players rubber will not have enough sharpness. Also if you are making a transition from tensor to china tacky and other way around this can be used as transitional rubber. Enjoy TT :) Mar 03, 2014

Kokutaku 868 Training Rubber
Review of Kokutaku 868 Training RubberGreat training rubber by Kokutaku.Price is just amazing, you can get 4 rubber for 15$ from Eacheng (Ebay ChinaFriend). Surprising quality for such a cheap rubber. It looks very well made just like medium price products. Wrapping is cheap but it is meant to be since it is a training version. There is no outstanding performance on this one only outstanding price. Rubber will do all you need it to do. Speed is good, control also... basically all you wish for you get for 4$. It is a bit tacky with medium throw and slightly harder sponge. I would not define this as hard sponge at all just a slight upgrade from medium. I got few extra sheets and gave them out in the club and so far all friends were impressed. This rubber reminds me of Mercury 2 story where people were getting a lot more then they were paying for. Recommended: To all absolutely! Enjoy TT and have fun. Jul 10, 2014

KTL (LKT) Rapid Sound
Review of KTL (LKT) Rapid SoundBeautiful rubber :) !!!Just a joy to play with. I have it on a 5 ply blade (All + or Off -) with some flex to it and this rubber is a perfect compliment to it. I wont go in much details here about spin, speed and so on ratings on DB appear reasonable to me. All is there basically with huge amount of control. Every single ball goes back to the table. Placement of the long or short ball is effortless. When you go in a hard exchange it is very easy to slow the exchange down or to change landing corner in a split second, it is hard to believe. Usually it takes me at least one practice to get full grip on a rubber but with LKT Sound it took me one hit. As if i played my whole life with it, which is bizarre since i play FH with H3 or TG3 normally or some silly fast tensor and this rubber is nothing like those. It lacks some speed (have to mention that) but control more then compensates. Highly recommended to all players (well maybe not for tournaments due to speed limitation). Enjoy life, play TT :). Palio CJ8000 Biotech 40-42°
Review of Palio CJ8000 Biotech 40-42°Palio Bio 40 - 42 is mediocre rubber with some quality control issues.Out of the pack rubber is slightly tacky with medium grip. Pips do have some height on them so that makes top sheet somewhat softer too. Rubber does not have the highest grip. Personally i would say many review of CJ8000 are way overrated. I had few sheets of this and some of them had thickness variations in the sponges. No excuse for that at all! On good sheets that i actually used there was a problem of ball slipping of the rubber, so you would net without the reason on not so demanding strokes. I would not recommend this rubber to anybody but the absolute beginner until they fix quality control problems. On the positive side when you open this rubber it looks as very promising sheet of rubber so i do get how people rate it so high. Aug 18, 2013

Palio CJ8000 2-Side Loop
Review of Palio CJ8000 2-Side LoopRubber is ok for training, nothing more.Grippy top sheet, soft as all cj8000 mounted on softer sponge 36-38 (I think). Issues with quality control as with most cheaper Palio rubbers, but it is ok for training. One sheet can be tacky a bit, other one just pure grip, sheets can have marks on them and so on€¦ In terms of performance it is on a slow side, with ok amount of spin on it. Spin is actually very good on slow speeds but as you speed up it diminishes due to the weaker sponge, so on high speed FH relies you have to be a bit careful. Control is also on a higher side close to the table but far off, again due to the sponge softness, it is ok only. Like cj8000 Bioteck, Yasaka Zap and New Era, all made by Palio this rubber does not last long. After a first training, about 2 hours or so, multi ball hitting on a BH side where I did put this rubber there was a finger mark (shake hand grip, index finger). Recommendation: To all beginners honestly, as a good FH rubber to start off. It provides good feedback and ball is relatively easy to control. Main advantage of this rubber is the price where you can get 2x for about 12-15 bucks. Much better choice over Sriver and Mark if you are on a budget while maintaining similar performance and feel. Best of all and enjoy TT :). Jun 05, 2014

Palio Macro Era

Review of Palio Macro EraPhysical:Yellow sponge with high quality ESN top sheet. At 42 degree hardness rubber feels along the lines of T64, Sigma 2 Euro... Ok pack but there are much better packs out there. Spin and speed: All there as with any modern rubber... I can’t bottom out even the softer version at 42. Great curve on the ball close to the table and off the table rubber provides fair amount of speed. Best point: Price ofc.... For just under 30 bucks you get the performance of much more expensive rubbers. You can save around 20 bucks per sheet going with Palio and not lose any performance since ESN rubbers at medium hardness are nearly identical. My new BH rubber. Have fun with TT and enjoy life! Reactor Thunder
Review of Reactor ThunderReview for black rubber @ maxLooks: Comes in plastic with paper cover around. Not a vacuum pack. It has a green sponge. Sponge looks like old school Chinese sponges for speed glue (sort of mixture of rubber and paper). It has tacky top sheet with good amount of smell to it. As if it is factory pre tuned. Speed: Deffo not a slow rubber. It has enough speed so you can play up to 3 m away from the table with a ok pace. In short game speed is more then enough. Spin: This rubber has more speed then a spin in my opinion. For openings, serves and side spin close to the table shots spin is sufficient. RBlade said that rubber is not for looping far away and i tend to agree. Sebas made a good review about characteristics of this rubber. I suggest you read the post of his link. Some things i would like to mention before logging out. Top sheet is tacky but not a lot of grip on it. When you go in faster exchange ball can slip easily this is a main downside of this rubber for me. Another funny thing is the sponge reaction to the glue. I was out normal glue so i had to use speed glue on this. Glue i used was Haifu Blue Whale 2, which is a strong speed glue. I just tried to glue the rubber in normal way without boosting so i put one thin layer on sponge and one on the blade. Did not even wait for the glue to dry out, and the rubber curled so much that it took me two days to actually glue it on the blade. This is the first time in my life to see such a reaction so early to a speed glue. As if human would drink one small cup of coffee and stayed up for five days, that how bizarre this was. Overall rubber is OK and nothing more for the price. There are better alternatives to this at this price range. Galaxy rubbers are much better in my opinion and just as affordable. Personally i can see myself using this for FH training but not a game rubber. If Reactor would menage to fix slipping problem with this rubber then story would be different. I do recommend this rubber for beginners, and intermediate players as a match or training rubber. You dont have to be a physical beast to use it but it is not a tensor easy. Medium throw + ok speed + tacky makes it for a nice FH rubber. Hope this helps :) Have fun and enjoy TT. Oct 04, 2013

Reactor Ckylin New (Blue Sponge)
Review of Reactor Ckylin New (Blue Sponge)Good rubber for 11$ :).Rubber has light blue sponge which is very soft, and i mean very soft along the lines of Vega Euro. Top sheet is transparent but strangly on a thick side with medium size pips. Rubber does not come in vacuum pack but standard plastic wrap with paper cover around. There is also a protective sheet over the rubber. Spin: For 11$ as much as you gona get :) Nothing short of much more expensive tensors. I would say very simular to LKT (soft or sound) version of the rubber. Speed: Hmmm, very fast in blocks (it is bit difficult to control), most of pasive shots are much faster then you would expect. When you start looping it slows down a bit due to the softness but you still maintain more then sufficiant speed to finish off. Control: About the only thing i did not like. It felt bit bouncy in a short game, and faster you go slower it gets. Blocking feels difficult also (overshooting). Other: Just slight amount of tack on top sheet. Not big of a factor in a game. Ckyling has a high throw (big shock for me). I cant comment on durability or production quality since i tired only one sheet in red, but from previous experiance with reactor that department should be good. Recommendation: If you like CJ 8000 Bio, Vega Euro, Sriver soft, Tutle B 4... this is for you. If you like playing hard tacky rubbers then stay away :) Biginers and inter med players from Europe have solid chances of likeing this rubber. Have fun :) Feb 16, 2014

Review of Sanwei T88-IGreat rubber if you like hard slightly tacky rubbers. Sort of like H3N, but bit less tacky and bit harder.Superb price!!! You get way more then you pay for. I would play with this any time on FH, has massive spin and great speed. One odd thing i noticed on the rubber is actually the size of the pips. These things do not look like regular pips they look more like pillars. At least 2 times wider then typical pips. I wonder if those are legal at all... Any way, all in all just another superb Chinese FH beast. High recommendations!!!! Enjoy TT & have fun :). Mar 04, 2014

SpinLord Adler II
Review of SpinLord Adler IIPhysical:Typical paper pack with thin plastic protection sheet over a top sheet. Sponge on red top sheet is orange, light, porous, and very soft. Top sheet is very thin and looks to be well produced. There is some presence of tack but not much (less then cj 8000). Spin and speed: This rubber cannot be compared with BTY Tenergy, modern tensors or DHS rubbers. It will fall short significantly in terms of speed and spin to aforementioned rubbers. However if you are control player then this may be just the right weapon for you. Handling and ball feeling is superb. Soft sponge will allow incoming loop to sink in, and will take some pace off the ball so blocking feels very controlled. Spin and speed are ok on flicks and hits from short distance but further back you go you start noticing issues with rubber hardness. Recommendation: I would recommend this to players who love control more than anything else and stay relatively close to the table. If you are younger player (age 10 or so..) this may be very good option for you, or maybe you are at the other side of spectrum from that 10 year old… This is well worth the money if you are looking for control. Enjoy TT and have fun :) Feb 26, 2016

Three Sword Red Dragon
Review of Three Sword Red DragonMax, RedPhysical; This is a non tacky chinese rubber of the softer feel. Top sheet is somewhat grippy and the sponge is Tenergy clone (not exact color match but...). Draging fingers accros the top sheet one can not feel all that much grip. Overal rubber production quality looks high. Playing characteristics: Spin, speed, control... No point in going in details here since rubber is not on ITTF list so one can not use it for official tournaments. What i can say about it is that it feels to me like Tenergy 64 clone (a good one honestly). Many chinese rubbers claim to be Tenergy clones like Mars 2.... but in terms of feel and performance this is as close as it can get. You will not get all the goodies like you would get from T64 but most of them will be there. Nice kick from the sponge, mediumish throw and spin, fairly boucy and automatic on blocks, easy to loop (BH) from 2 m away... and so on. Recommendation: If you spend a lot of time multyball or robot action i would highly recommend this rubber, due to the price, as a substitute for T64 and simular expensive rubbers. It wont be a perfect sub but for 10$ i dont think many of you will mind :). Best of all and enjoy TT. Apr 12, 2014

Tuttle Beijing 4
Review of Tuttle Beijing 4Review for TB4 36 hardens @ max.Physical properties: Comes in a vacuum pack with nice paper wrap around. Very well designed packaging. Rubber has sort of a light yellowish sponge (almost white but not quite). On the red sheets be prepared to get a translucent top sheet. Easy to see pips inside. Pips appear to be slightly bigger then average. Slightly taller pips then you would find on typical Chinese rubber. At 36 degrees my rubbers do not feel soft at all. That was a big surprise for me honestly since many people say this is one of the softest rubbers around. Actually it feels only slightly softer then Tenergy 05 along the lines of Tenergy 64 or couple degrees harder then Xiom Vega Euro. Rubber is also bit tacky. It can pick up the ball and hold it for a second or maybe less. It is very easy to spot grippinnes of the top sheet too. Spin: Rubber produces good amount of spin with ease. Comparable to Vega Europe. I gave it a few shots on FH but mainly i used sheets on my BH. Lifting under spin serves with a flick is easy. Mid distance shots have also good amount of spin on them and again those shots do not require a lot of effort with this rubber. Shots go deep and nose dive at the end of the table. Under spin in short game was ok but i am not the guy who should rate rubber for these kind of shots anyway (it will work ok for defense if you are purely attacking player). Speed: Ok not the Hercules in this department but sufficient speed to finish off any point. One really can not compare this to tensors like Sigma II or Tenergy 64 and so on but in terms of classical rubbers faster then Mark and Sriver. I honestly cant say rubber bottoms out on my BH but professional players may need something faster. It is not as bouncy as tensor rubbers nor dead like classical Chinese rubbers but something in between. Control: If i was a sales man this would be mine sales point of this rubber. Simply amazing control on every possible shot you can make in TT. I am not much of a defender but i am able to chop with moderate amount of precision and block as well. It is a rubber that i was able to get used to in firs 5 min of play. Recommendation: Well, honestly i would recommend this to anybody on BH but on FH also. Unless you are trying to make the Olympic team for your country this rubber will meat your needs. Best of luck and enjoy TT :) Nov 18, 2013

Xiom Vega Pro
Review of Xiom Vega ProVega Pro is a high quality tensor with higher throw angle and excellent spin. It is not too bouncy close to the table. It has a great looping potential with strong ball dip.I am a player who hits ball extremely hard with massive top spin and for me it was not easy to bottom out Vega Pro. I don't think many will menage to bottom it out so don't worry about high end gear unless you hard loop-drive from more then 6 meters from the table (kinda silly but hey... ). One problem i had with it is when i try to push (long) with some side spin. It can pop up the ball. With good technique i don't think one should be to concerned about this issue. It is mainly my lack of skill near the table. Blocking is great too. Most of the time you get even rewarded with some additional spin out of passive block (out of position). Looping-driving (hard exchange) is the best!! Very easy to override side-spin and to counter with your own side-top spin. On pure top spin game you don't have to worry about ball slipping of your rubber at all (high grip). It sure does click a lot at high speed, so some may like that some may not. Rubber has great durability. Mine died in about a month (please don't read this wrong i kill most of the rubber in less then that). Overall very good product in my opinion. Great price 35$ to 45$. Last a long time. Personally i would recommend it as a FH rubber. Maybe not for an absolute beginner but anything higher should find this product from Xiom great. Hope this helps, and enjoy playing felaz :))) Aug 18, 2013

Xiom Vega Europe
Review of Xiom Vega EuropeGreat product by Xiom.Softer, light, tensor rubber of a good quality. Hardness : Xiom rates its sponge softer then Pro version of Vega. It is hard to feel the difference on touch. Top sheet is lot softer then Pros. It has higher pips. Soft top sheet adds spin at low speeds but also contributes to bounciness. Maybe with avg technique one should be careful with short under-spin balls (some time those pop up). Top spin game is great. Openings are strong (probably the best), mid distance is very solid too. Catapult, high spin, easiness of play are all there when less then 2 meters away. Rubber clicks hard almost all the time, some may find this useful to correct technique. If you go back more then 2 m, in my opinion, rubber starts developing some problems due to the softness. Harder you hit, more and more you will feel the blade coming into the play. No so much on a BH but on FH deffo. Other parts of the game with this rubber are all there. Service is great, so i blocking, pushing and so on... You may need some to adjust but by no means will you be disappointed with this rubber performance. Highly recommended rubber to a close to the table fast players who love control. Recommended on BH side of the blade. Would also recommend Vega Euro to the players whose physical ability is not a top notch or have some type of physical limitation. Bounciness and control (hard to put those two together but Vega Euro does menage) may help you with ball placement and compensate for the lack of foot work to some degree. Would not recommend this rubber on FH at all (well maybe beginners can use it as FH rubber but ...). Definitely if you are heavy hitter from a distance there may be some better alternatives. In any case if you like to try this rubber out you will not throw away your 40$!! Hope this helps a bit. Have fun playing TT. Aug 19, 2013

Xiom Vega China VM
Review of Xiom Vega China VMRating for Xiom China VM @ Max.Looks: Professionally packed in typical Xiom Vega style (not a vacuum pack) with plastic cover over the rubber surface. Sponge is black but does not look much like rest of the Vega series. Not very porous at all, as a matter of fact it looks a little bit like a rubber material. Pips are medium height, or maybe on a shorter side. Very much like Vega pro or TG3 height (measured with the naked eye :) only). Tacky top sheet as all the rest tacky sheets will stain a bit over time coz of cleaning. Spin: Insane!!!! Short top spin (opening loops) are just as good if not even better then H3 or TG3 tuned. Rubber can open up game with no effort what so ever. It lifts under spin with such ease it is hard to believe. You get that relatively dead feeling which is perfect for those shots. Hard to tell in a short game that you are playing with tensor, very much Chinese pro style feel to it. All that up to incredible openings. Medium distance is where the things get little bit confusing. I cant actually classify this rubber as china or tensor at medium distance. It will provide you with forgiveness of a tensor and better bounce then china rubbers. So it can save you easily when out of position or when you are in any kind of trouble (talking about those blocks that sort of look like drives or any other "in trouble" move you may make). Catapult effect will also be noticeable at this distance but nothing like typical tensor. When you play away from the table spin is probably the best. Equals H3 or other pro rubbers. Feel is sort of the same to TG or H with additional help from tensor technology (again some forgiveness added). At this distance you will feel a lot of catapult and rubber will click continuously. If you hit with elbow bent then your spin will be less at this distance, otherwise you have a demon in your hands. Speed: In short game rubber is as dead as it can be. Deffo by far least bouncy tensor i have ever played with. Super good control in a short game. Medium distance game just effortless i wont even bother elaborating on this. When you go back 3m+ and start going hard this is where this rubber shines. Due to the hard sponge and springiness of a tensor technology you can go as fast as you like. Simply there is no way to bottom out that sponge. Compared to Vega Pro which i probably bottom out at about 80% of my strength this thing i can put in, imo 110% and it will still go strong. Sort of like DHS monsters. Other characteristics: Higher throw rubber great for bombing away from the table. Semi tacky with a huge bite on the ball. Rubber feels bit heavier then Vega Pro (i dont have a scale to measure exact weight), but it is not the heaviest there is. Recommendations: Would highly recommend this to a physical players and all out attackers with well developed skills. People who swing like mad and dont mind getting tired while during practice. Would not recommend to people with less experience, people who like nice and fun game, definitely would not recommend this to defenders who like to block and chop from distance or close to the table most other rubbers are FAR better alternatives. Since this rubber has been rated only 3 times before this review i hope this will help a bit. Dont be afraid to buy it if you like to smack the ball from time to time. Keep in mind that on most forums people rate H3 as slower rubber (version does not matter) but somehow H3 is fast enough for Ma Long so i bet most of us hit stronger then he does :). Best of luck all and have fun playing TT. Oct 02, 2013

Xiom Sigma II Euro
Review of Xiom Sigma II EuroSpin:Rubber delivers big time in this department. Just as spinney as the other top rubbers on the market. Trajectory is very long with the sudden dip at the end of opponent side of the table. Opening loops are just as good as counter looping. Serves on the other hand are still better with tacky rubbers but for a tensor rubber, spin on serves is just great. The most appealing aspect of this rubber to me is ability to cancel all of the incoming loop spin and add massive own spin. When counter looping ball will constantly go to the edge of the opponent side then just make a sudden dip, even if you counter loop is really push block type of shot. Speed: Rubber in short game is not as bouncy as Vega Euro. As a matter of fact it is not too bouncy at all, so you one can keep game slow and short without much effort. When you go off the table rubber picks up great deal of speed. Personally I would say maybe 5 to 10% faster than T64. When playing it, turns out for me at least, I can apply more spin with it then with T64 that XSE2 goes about 15% faster than T64, but I don€™t think that sponge is faster just you get more dip so you can hit faster. I use this rubber on BH and I cannot bottom it out, much better then Vega Euro which was too soft. Control: In terms of control I am in big disagreement with Xiom here. They rate this as Tour/Pro, personally I think player with 6 months of training would be totally ok with this rubber. I played with Tenergy rubbers few years back when they were the best on the market and recently Xiom so I can€™t say I am an expert on tensor rubbers yet I can€™t say I have problems controlling this rubber. Depth and height are quality with XSE 2. Recommendation: From a beginner to a pro basically ïŠ. I think that many Europeans will find this rubber good on FH or BH either way but people from Asia may prefer it on BH. Great job from Xiom. Have fun playing and enjoy life . Xiom Omega V Tour
Review of Xiom Omega V TourAnother great one by Xiom.Xiom rubbers are always nicely packed and of amazing quality. Omega Tour is no exception to this rule. Typical Xiom pack and look of a top sheet with some sheen to it. Spin: Honestly i was bit surprised in this area. When i hit the ball with the paddle i dont feel that rubber is all that spinney. After the ball bounces it is clear as day that it has MASSIVE spin on it. Also it is very easy to see from the trajectory. Maybe it is my hitting technique or something else, who knows. Relies from the distance are the order of the day and show spin potential to the fullest. For lesser experienced players it is very difficult to block or counter opening loops and a lot of time those blocks overshoot table. Speed: A bit faster then Sigma 2 Euro. Not too bouncy at all (some bounce but nothing to worry about). Trajectory is so long it is a bit nerve racking to watch the ball, but massive spin takes over and ball lands at the very edge of the table almost all the time. Probable next to Calibra or T64 this rubber has the longest trajectory i have seen. Other (angle, tack, hardness...): I dont totally agree with throw angle medium (as rated right now). In my opinion is more of a medium-high leaning on a high side of the spectrum. In terms of tackiness there is no tack what so ever. Grip 100%! Sponge and top sheet overall hardness appear to be medium-hard. Bit harder then Sigma 2 E. Personally i would love to have the exact same rubber just with harder feel to it. I still has that bit of a mushy feeling like all tensors but nothing like Vega Euro or T64 FX. In terms of control i dont agree with Xiom here at all (been the case for me lately), and i would rate this as relatively easy to control rubber. Only control issue i had is super long trajectory but not a problem in a sense, it was just making me bit nervous at the beginning (balls did land). Recommendation: ALL should try! Best regards felaz and have fun :) Dec 16, 2013

Xiom Vega Elite
Review of Xiom Vega EliteEmmmm for a fan of Xiom rubbers I must say not my cup of tea :).Physical: Great pack like all other rubbers by Xiom. Grippy top sheet, very soft with soft sponge (very, very soft rubber). Its sponge is very porous and light. No sheen on top sheet. 100 % grip no tack. Good amount of grip when dragging fingers over it. Spin: So so basically. If you play slow game spin is ok but faster you go it diminishes rapidly. Rubber is so soft that even at medium speed you hit the blade all the time thus reducing spin significantly. Opening loops are ok since you are the first in rally to hit the ball. Spin on serves is also sub par. Rubber is to bouncy to grab the ball when serving. Good side of this rubber is low reactivate to incoming spin but that is about it :). Speed: Probably the biggest problem of the rubber. Way too soft for serious play. Blade contact all the time making it hard to finish point or to judge throw angle when attacking. One positive aspect is blocking opening loops. Since this rubber is bouncy and does not react to inc spin much, blocking those first loops is really easy and dangerous for opponent. Control: Not that great in a short game but off the table amazing. Rubber is too bouncy for short game so it may be difficult to do short returns in order not to get attacked on 3rd ball. Since rubber is slow from distance control is high off the table. Very easy placing the ball left and right, and it is also relatively easy in terms of depth. Other characteristics: Silly soft and bouncy rubber with medium - low throw. It does not last very long time since top sheet is very soft. You will start losing grip in about 20 days of playing and it will deteriorate fast after that. Recommendation : Personally I would recommend this only to beginners (so they can get used to tensors), blockers with limited physical capabilities or older people. Have fun playing TT :) Enjoy life! Xiom Musa II
Review of Xiom Musa IIPhysical:Comes nicely packed with paper sheet over the rubber. All edges and letters are done great. Rubber has medium feel to it when you press on it. Sponge has some pores but they are not very large and it is sort of white in color. This is not a tensor rubber but it is made in Germany (it has that ESN smell). Spin: Away from the table it produces large amount of spin on solid brushes. You can feel top sheet starching and flexing. Short balls for me have bit less spin. On flicks I don’t produce as much as I would with tensor since rubber does not flex much on low impact shots and it lacks that tensor response. Speed and control: Off the table you have to apply some power as if you are playing with Mark, Sriver or CJ8000… One should not experience lack of power unless you have very weak stroke. On blocks and quick flics it will feel like good quality classical rubber, you won’t win points by just placing your racquet on the ball and hopping for a good rebound, but control is better than tensor rubbers. Recommendation: Almost to all players unless you play on TV a lot. Ok for forehand or BH, personally I like it on BH more. Price is great if you are wondering what to get and can’t decide. I don’t see many people claiming negatives regarding this rubber in any department. If you can get it at better price than Mark or Sriver go for it ïŠ. Have fun and enjoy playing. Yasaka Zap Biotech 36-38
Review of Yasaka Zap Biotech 36-38Nothing special here. You get what you pay for.Rubber is totally ok for training (robot or drills). Not something one would want to use in games. It has medium hard feel, with some grip on the top sheet. Sponge is marked 36-38 Biotech (made by Palio) but feels sort of harder. Top sheet is also hard, nothing like CJ8000. Smell is fairly strong when taken out of the vacuum bag. In terms of spin, speed this is not the rubber to compare with modern rubbers. You have to work relatively hard to get speed or spin out of it. Quality control is hmmm somewhat not there, which is in my opinion typical of Palio produced rubbers. People complain about DHS and their quality control but for me personally Palio is miles behind from DHS. Sometimes I could see pips together or too far apart (on red sheet only because cant see trough black), sponge thickness issues and so on.... Rubber also looses its grip sort of fast. Do not want to trash this rubber totally. It is ok rubber for the price. Good for training, cheap, last about a month (sometimes less). Ok for a first paddle or training paddle. Have fun, enjoy TT :). Dec 18, 2013

Yasaka Zap Biotech 40-42

Review of Yasaka Zap Biotech 40-42Solid yet cheap training rubber.I can pretty much copy review i did on Zap Bio 36-38 to this one. Identical performance with slightly harder feel to it. For something that is about 4 degree harder i expected to see more of a difference. You can hardly tell this rubber is harder then 36-38 version. Recommended for training, excellent price. It does not last too long and it does not have stand out performance but hey for 10 $ it is ok... Much better choice for beginners then Sriver. Have fun :). Dec 25, 2013

Yinhe Mercury II

Review of Yinhe Mercury IISeguso did excellent review.Personally i was very skeptical about 5 bucks rubber but boy was it unjustified. Best 5 bucks you will ever spend. I would highly recommend this rubber to high grade players as training rubber and certainly would recommend it to intermediate and beginners as regular rubber. Out of 5 rubbers you order one will be way off and useless maybe but it costs only 5 bucks and plays great. It is true that red is harder then black and less tacky. Free you mind and give it a shot, you will not regret it. Enjoy TT :) Aug 18, 2013

Yinhe Mars V2
Review of Yinhe Mars V2This review is on Galaxy Mars V2 factory tuned red @ max. 35 degPhysical : Rubber has good looks, with nice red (orange) sponge. Top sheet has wider pips then avg. Medium height pips. It appears to be very gripe sheet with slight amount of tack (tackiness does not factor in while playing much). Spin: Rubber has good amount of spin. Grip of a top sheet + sponge deformation produce some good rotations. At close range rubber performs good in terms of spin and provides solid control. Medium distance is the best. One can generate heavy loops without much effort. At medium distance you get the best sound too :). Far away rubber is ok, at least 35 degree version I have. It would be great to try harder sponge for FH heavy shots from distance, I think rubber would work great. Speed: A bit on a strange side here. Rubber acts between dead china rubber and slower tensor rubber. Dont really understand marketing "T64 Clone".... It has solid speed and not too much bounce. Problem is far away when you will engage blade a bit too much. Maybe if you get regular version of Mars 2 it would be better then tuned (soft) for a speed at distance...? Overall speed of this rubber will be fine for most of the players unless you are way up there in TT world. Then maybe this rubber would be ok for BH. Throw angle: On a low side here... I feel as if many would find this great on BH. For FH one has to make slight adjustment on strokes. I usually play TG3N on FH so it took me few hits to get a grip on Mars 2. Had no such issues on BH, rubber was fine out of the pack. Recommended to: Honestly this is one of those rubbers i would recommend to anybody. Beginners will have fun with it because it has properties of both Chinese and tensor rubbers. It can beginners decide what path to take (tensor vs dead tacky). Intermediates will get most out of this. Rubber will provide more then enough speed and spin on both FH and BH. For pros (if you have to buy) then this is a cheap training option. Overall great product at 15$ price tag. Highly recommended, so give it a shot if you like, and have fun playing TT :). Aug 29, 2013

Yinhe Earth
Review of Yinhe EarthReview for Galaxy Earth red @ max 36-38 hardness.Looks: Vacuum packed sheet like most of Galaxy products. This one came factory tuned with a layer of glue at the back. Orange sponge with semi transparent top sheet. Medium tacky rubber, ok maybe tackier then medium but not silly tacky like H2 original. Honestly was expecting softer feel out of the sponge but it does feel about 39 DHS scale. Even more surprising knowing that this is factory pre tuned rubber. Spin: Ok spin on most of the shots. Far away some problems do become apparent but for a 5$ to 10$ piece of rubber it would be silly to complain about it. Speed: Not bad at all considering the price. Plenty of it for most people. Most of regular shots have enough point scoring power. Instead of going in details about spin and speed of this rubber i would like to base this review on my perspective why is this a good rubber. In my opinion this is a Chinese Sriver or Mark. It has about same performance which is outdated by today's standards and it costs only a fraction of those two. It does not have the same feel like other two but end results are very similar. Speed will not be the issue for a developing players. It has good grip too so it is not only tacky spin (if you can call it that way). Not a mayor stroke change from any mid line rubber. If you are developing player working on your technique you most likely dont need anything faster or spinier then this. The biggest reward you will get from this rubber is SUPERB control. If you decide to buy this rubber, and i highly do recommend it, and you find that it has lack of spin my advice to you is to keep it on for one more year and train very hard with it. One of two things will happen. First possibility is that rubber will gain spin on its own and it will improve in accuracy. Second thing that can happen is that you will learn how to spin the ball better and where to place it on the table. So basically invest one year of good quality training and 5$ to 10$ for the rubber and you will see first or second option coming true. Hope this helps a bit. Best of luck all TT players and fans and have fun :) Oct 03, 2013

Yinhe Moon

Review of Yinhe MoonLarge amount of reviews on this rubber. In my opinion it is a good value for the money and would advice players to try this rubber. Out of the pack it has super grip (like T05) but rubber is not the best clone of T05. Other then that it is /"do it all rubber/". About 15-20 % in every department down from T05 and you can get the idea how this plays. I would highly recommend this rubber to anybody on FH or BH. This can be used in match easy, so it is not only training rubber. UPDATE: Recently few of my friends tested 5 ply ALL blades and Moon was one of the rubbers on testing. Most of them including me had very hard time lifting heavy under spin on FH side with Moon on those slower flexible blades. We actually do not know the reason why did this happen but it did. Playing a pips chopper was almost impossible. So much effort was needed to lift chops and so much upward motion that speed was no where near enough for scoring points. Non of us had any complaint on BH side. Moon was actually very good BH rubber on slow ALL blades. Enjoy TT and have fun :) Nov 27, 2013
