Friendship/729 Blue Arylate Carbon
|
||||||||||||||
Review of Friendship/729 Blue Arylate CarbonA fairly affordable option for a base with ALC carbon. Yes, there are questions about the quality of workmanship (you need to apply varnish, the very execution without grinding), but the price makes it quite attractive for consideration. The layout of the structure as in Viscaria, Fan Zhendong, Yinhe Pro 01, Sanwei 75 ALC (Koto/ ALC/ Limba/ Kiri) - all these bases are quite similar, but each has its own personality. The weight of the 729 ALC differs from the copy, ranging from 88-95g. The handle is quite comfortable, although some say it's too thin. The base thickness is 5.7-5.9mm. Carbon Outer layout. It has a rather pleasant vibration, although it is not large, where there is also no contact area with the ball. In terms of speed, it's about the same as the entire spectrum of the basics that were listed. It has quite good control, but it is within the framework of the basics with the same layout. The stiffness here is about 1370-1430Hz. In terms of speed, it's quite nice to play both in the first and second zone, for the third zone it depends on what rubbers you have. All types of rubbers fit quite well: tensor, hybrid, Chinese.Oct 12, 2024

Sanwei 75 ALC

Review of Sanwei 75 ALCI had two versions, both with FL handle and ST handle. The bases themselves are hard: FL - 1560Hz\ST - 1625Hz. In terms of structure, it is Viscaria based, but if you compare it with what it really looks like, it is somewhere: Xiom Stradivarius or Butterfly Fan Zhendong.For comparison of frequencies, which I also measured: 729 Blue ALC - 1460Hz Butterfly Fan Zhendong - 1465Hz Butterfly Viscaria - 1440Hz DHS 506 - 1464Hz XIOM Stradivarius - 1550Hz Sanwei 75ALC - 1625Hz (current) The speed will be somewhere like Viscaria, but with the balance in the racket head I think it is not far from Butterfly Boll ALC. The contact is clear - here without any novelties, everything that is in this class on this same structure, only in a stiffer implementation. In my opinion, this is one of the stiffest bases that I have held in my hands on this structure. For comparison, I can say that it is more similar to the Japanese format of bases, because other Chinese manufacturers differ in touch, more porous in feel (Yinhe Pro 01, 729 Blue ALC), but not DHS. There is no question about the pads, they are quite versatile, now I have a set of Stiga Mantra Pro H red, Stiga Mantra Pro XH black - fast, but they have a soft top sheet and fit perfectly. The base itself is excellent for its money, locally I see that the Chinese take a lot of them - because the price and quality are in balance and that's why I took it a second time. The quality is real good. Speed is 9.0 - just my feelings Jan 30, 2026

Stiga Wavy Ultra Fiber
|

Review of Stiga Wavy Ultra FiberI bought this blade because I was curious about this new release. By the way, it is manufactured in Guangdong, China. I ordered it because I wanted something that feels more like an all-wood blade, and I wasn't disappointed. The carbon used here acts more as a stabilizing factor for the wood; its presence isn't very noticeable during play.The handle is comfortable. Even though the blade is 6.5mm thick, which I thought might feel too chunky, it actually feels quite compact and handy. It sits well in the hand, and it's very comfortable to control during transitions. Vibrations are dampened; the blade feels solid and 'well-knit' (compact), yet it provides a clear contact feeling. However, it’s worth noting that since it feels more like an all-wood blade, the sweet spot is most prominent in the center. Regarding speed, it's quite linear: you get out exactly what you put in. It’s not slow, but the Stiga Inspira (which I have in my collection) feels faster. It’s more comfortable for active play in the second or third zone, but thanks to its control, you won't have any issues with counter-attacking close to the table. In my opinion, it has a great speed-to-control balance. I tested it with Stiga Mantra Pro H/M, but you could easily go with harder rubbers, even Chinese ones. To my taste, a setup with two 50° sponges would be ideal—they provide a nice dwell/flex and great feedback during play. Compared to the Stiga Inspira, the structure feels identical (which it is), but this one offers more wood-like feel, more control, and is more composed. For its price point, I would highly recommend it. Stiga proves once again that they know how to make excellent blades. Apr 23, 2026

Xiom Novus 19 Ignito
|

Review of Xiom Novus 19 IgnitoHere is a new revision of old Xiom Ignita.I bought just to replace the first revision and in the equation I did not see any fundamental changes between them. In fact, they changed the shape of the handle a little, changed the cheeks and changed the prints on the racket. The very foundation remained the same as in the first version. I want to say that the quality has not changed, the manufacturing process itself also - is felt quite qualitatively. Very successful layout of layers on Hinoki, the frequency of the new 1760Gts, the first revision - 1650Gts. By weight they are not heavy, I have a weight of 84g and I have FL, which allows me to put heavier pads on the outside without problems. Liked the fact that no matter what the pads, it maximally allows them to load and get the speed, even considering its speed - without problems you will get out of the lining of the speed. Also very much liked the control which is also present at this speed. Everything is very balanced and feels quite collected. Given the fact that the Butterfly Primorac Carbon has in fact the same structure, higher speed, but it is noticeably softer and in Xiom Ignita I prefer solidity and feeling with more moderate speed and appropriate control. Very wonderful racket, I'm delighted. Chinese overlays here open as much as possible, playing now H3 Neo Orange Sponge 38deg + Hummond Z2 is something with something! Affordable, high-quality racket that impresses with its characteristics. I recommend. Jun 19, 2025

Xiom Extreme S

Review of Xiom Extreme SMy sample weights 88.3g, which, as far as I know, is quite hard to find since they usually run heavier. The frequency is 1518 Hz.In terms of speed, this blade is not for beginners; it’s meant for intermediate or pro-level players. The blade itself feels very solid and well-composed. The feeling is among the best I’ve ever experienced compared to other blades with the exact same composition. It feels very informative and lively, offering pleasant vibrations and crisp feedback. As for the rubbers, I paired it with Stiga Mantra H/XH, which are my main rubbers that I play with all the time. In my opinion, this is the best combination—it doesn’t dampen the blade's natural vibrations, but rather complements what the blade transmits, which heavily reflects in the gameplay. The blade offers great control. There are absolutely no issues staying close to the table to block, counter-loop, or counter-attack. Running back and playing in the third zone is just as effortless. I have highly positive impressions and feelings about this blade, not to mention that it is very budget-friendly considering the quality and performance it delivers. Some might not know, but this blade was designed following the Japanese style—mirroring how the Japanese themselves craft all-wood blades. This is highly noticeable when compared to variations from other manufacturers. Even after a quick test session yesterday, I can say this blade left a huge impression on me—honestly, I’ve never held anything better. Having experienced other all-wood blades like the Butterfly SK7, the classic Stiga Clipper Wood, and even the premium OSP Ultimate II, I can confidently say that this Xiom is fully on par with OSP. While OSP might have a slightly more distinct vibration and specific behavior, this blade doesn't yield to it at all. The quality, responsiveness, and overall feedback are on an exceptionally high level. It's one of the best blades I’ve ever held in my hands. Highly recommended. May 22, 2026

Xiom Novus Extreme

Review of Xiom Novus ExtremeThis shows the old version in fact, now it has been updated to the Novus line.The board itself is a fairly high-quality, 7-layer base. The quality for this money is simply cosmic, I was very surprised. The ball feels quite monolithic on it, but it feels soft. Fast, it will be difficult for beginners to play with it, more so for people who already have equipment. Excellent speed reserve for playing from the table. Control at this speed is excellent, there is no uncontrolled play. It can be a universal solution for pads, it fits well like a tensor or a heavy china. Personally, I liked the price-quality ratio here, the final result of the game at the table. For this money, in my opinion, this is the grail. I will also add that one of the fastest bases for this structure, where the manufacturer himself indicated that it was made according to the Japanese approach to execution (rigid and monolithic). For people who value pure wood, I highly recommend it, as it is not expensive at all, but you get a great blade, both in terms of characteristics and its execution. In this regard, the Xiom is surprising and quite pleasant. Jul 11, 2026

Yinhe Pro 05
|

Review of Yinhe Pro 05This top, still very impressed by it, I took it as the main one.The quality of workmanship is at a high level. Very good control when playing on the table, but there is also enough speed, zone 2 or 3 - it is pleasant to play and without problems. The vibrations here are less, but I personally see a plus in this, compared to ALC carbon - contact with the ball and sensations are clearer. As for the overlays - from what I noticed, a tensor of 47-50 degrees is well suited, for advanced players 52 is exactly what is tougher - it tastes. China also fits here for a day, I haven't tried hybrids, but I think they will sit without any problems. Requires skills, not suitable for beginners. Control is similar to innerForce - but it feels better here (purely for my taste) The speed is similar to Viscaria, although some said Apollonia, but not slower than Fan Zhendong If I can describe it in one word, then I will probably say "Clarity" in everything. For a long time, all the spectrum that I tested, I will say that so far this is the best that I have in my hands. Oct 30, 2024
